There's No Way
Ekaterina stood, wearing a black dress that fell to her knees. She tried not to stick out. She watched as her family cried. Mikey and Gerard were there, Mikey was clutching her ring, stone faced. Ekaterina watched, knowing that they wouldn’t believe her is she did run up to them. So after the ceremony, she slowly walked up to them, head held high.
“Hello,” she said quietly. Gerard swung around to see her. He gasped slightly, obviously recognizing her.
“Sun—”
“Shine. Sunshine,” Ekaterina smiled, nodding. Gerard took a step back.
“How? You were in the coffin!” he said sharply.
“Gerard, there’s a lot of explaining to do. Will you accompany me to some fruit loops and coffee.” Ekaterina sighed, linking arms with her best friend after he gave a slight nod.
