Hope Forgotten

Matt's POV

I turned to Jimmy, the surprise evident on my face, his face held a similar expression.
Obviously, he too had no clue the power that Chris possessed.
If I hadn't been so shocked, I might have cheered.
She was the one we had been waiting for.
She could save us all from the fate that, that bitch had doomed us to.
Turning quickly I walked back into the house listening for any trace of where Chris would be.
I heard quiet sobs coming from her room, and knew that it wasn't the time to tell her of the things the people would expect from her now that she was back.
She had just banished the man that I knew she loved.
But no matter she would have to snap out of this, and quickly.
She was our Queen.
The one foretold in the prophecy.
Now more than ever, we needed her to be strong, and I wasn't sure how to make that happen.

Jimmy's POV

I wasn't sure that she would be able to do it.
I wasn't sure if she could overcome the love that she had for him in order to punish him justly for what he had done to her.
The first part of the prophecy had taken place.
Which meant the second one was quickly approaching.
Matt had went in some time ago, but I needed to think.
To prepare myself for what I knew was undoubtedly going to happen.
Chris would need us now more than ever.
She would need all of us.
Including Brian Syn.
But for now he could remain where he was.
It wasn't his time yet.
Sighing, I stood and made my way through the house to her room.
I could hear her crying, and I felt my heart start to crack.
I walked to the door and felt the locking barrier that had been place over the door.
Quickly displacing it, I made my way to her bed and pulled her into my arms.
"It will all work it's way out in the end." I whispered, not knowing if I was lying or not.
She didn't reply, just snuggled closer, and slowly she fell asleep.
I watched the tension slowly disappear from her face the longer she slept, only able to think about the prophecy, and knowing that she had no clue what was to come.
