Chapter 32
~Christmas Eve~
Gerard’s parents threw a huge Christmas party. Families and everyone. It was a lot of fun. Just before present time, I pulled Gerard with me to his room.
“What’s up?” he asked.
“I wanted to give you half your present in private.”
“Oh?”
“I don’t know how you’re gonna take it though.”
“I think I already know.” He smiled and touched my stomach.
I smiled back and hugged him. We decided to tell
everyone after presents. We joined the others and ripped open presents. Afterwards, Gerard got everyone’s attention.
“Ok. Lisa and I have something to say, but first, I wanna give her her present. Lis?” He faced me and grabbed my hands. “So much has happened to us over the last couple of years, and it’s only made us a stronger couple. I want you to spend the rest of your life with me.” He dropped to a knee, and a few gasps were heard. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me, by marrying me?”
I chuckled and cried.
“Of course I will!” I hugged him. “Do you wanna tell them the rest, or should I?”
“We’re also gonna be starting our family soon too,” Gerard said.
“You knocked her up!?” Ray shouted. “Oww, Ana! Why’d you hit me?”
“Yes, Ray, he knocked me up,” I laughed.
“When?” he asked.
“Ray! Stop,” Ana said. “Let them talk.”
“Probably around late July or early August. That’s what my doctor said.”
“So that’s where you went on your welcome home party day.”
“I give up,” Ana said.
“Yes, Ray. Do you want every moaning detail?” I asked.
“God, no! I’ll shut up.”
“Lis, you gotta teach me to control him,” Ana said.
“I will. But, yeah, I am expecting around the time I
said. Gerard just found out tonight too.”
“Yeah, but I had a feeling when you kept getting sick.”
We then unwinded and enjoyed the rest of the party.
