You're Not in This Alone.

chapter 52

Lisa’s P.O.V~

“Sweetie, we gotta go. Wake up.”

“No,” I groaned, pulling the covers up over my head. “I’m cold.”

“I got a hot shower waiting for you.”

I took the comforter with me to the bathroom door. I was sore in more places than one. After my shower, I got dressed and tied my hair back. We went back to the bus and took off for the airport. Jordan was sitting on Ray’s lap, playing a game.

“Practicing?” I asked, leaning on the wall.

“Yep,” Ray said.

“Hi, mommy.” She came to give me a hug.

“Hi, sweetie.”

“Where’d ya go?”

“Daddy and I had important business to take care of.”

“What?”

“We…were doing taxes.”

Ray laughed as I gave him a look. He got up and headed out. I
smacked him playfully and went to sit by Jordan. She sat on my lap and I played with her hair.

“Hey,” someone said.

I looked up and saw Andrea.

“Hey,” I said.

“You know, this summer’s been so hectic, I never got to thank you for introducing me to Mikey.” She sat next to me.

“It was nothing. I felt bad for him.”

“Why?”

“He never told you?”

“No.”

“His high school girlfriend. They’ve been together longer than
Gerard and I. Well…she cheated on him. She left the album release party early, and when he got home, he found her with another guy in bed. He was gonna propose on the first day of Warped.”

“Oh my. Poor Mikey.”

“She was a nice girl too. But, don’t tell Mikey. There would have to
be a reason why he never told you.”

“Yeah.”

“So, you coming with us?”

“He told me how he felt, and asked me to move in with him, but I’ve only known him for two months. I was gonna hang at home for a while then fly out.”

“They’re going back on tour next Monday. I would do it. Mikey’s a great guy. I think he really likes you.”

“I was gonna probably fly out by Wednesday. Does he have his own house?”

“We all do-all the couples. We’re close to each other though."

“Cool. Are you guys going with them on tour?”

“No. Whoever organized the tour said no girlfriends or no tour. I told them they better go on tour. That’s when all the girls crash at my house.”

“Mommy, are we taking a plane?” Jordan asked.

“Yes we are.”

“Yay!”

Andrea giggled. “She’s adorable. She’s so smart too.”

“Mmm-hmm.”

“Do you and Gerard want more kids?”

“We actually do. The next one we have might be the last. We figure
two’s a good number, maybe three.”

“Ha. I’m gonna go find Mikey.” She got up. “I hope someday I can
call you my sister-in-law.” She smiled.

She headed away. I looked at Jordan who was staring at me.

“What?” I said, tickling her.

At the airport, I watched Mikey and Andrea held each other. Much like Gerard and I when I went to Chicago. When they split, I caught up with him.

“Uncle Mikey. Don’t be sad,” Jordan said.

“She’ll fly out in a couple days,” I said.

“I know,” he said.

“Come on you guys!” Gerard shouted from the gate.

We boarded the plane and I had to climb over Gerard to my seat. I was asleep before we took off. I woke up when the plane his some turbulence.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are currently flying just over a storm system. That will explain the turbulence. We ask that you do not be alarmed, but please sit up and fasten your seatbelts. There is no need to panic.”

“Yet,” Frank said from in front of us.

“Shut up!” I smacked him upside the head.

Gerard grabbed my hand. He was shaking, or it was the plane.

“We’ll be fine,” I said.
