Love Makes Blind

Bitch Fit.

[Listen to this song.]

“What?” Elia asked in utter shock.
“I have joined the army.” Paul repeated.
“What?”
Paul sighed and rose to his feet. “I called my counselor from college and she said that if I joined the army and went to war it would make the stuff on my record not matter that much. So that’s what I did. I joined the army.”
“No.” Elia shook her head. “Absolutely not.”
“It’s only six months.” His voice turned pleading.

“Have you lost your mind?” Elia screamed.
“Elia, please calm down.” Paul placed a hand on her shoulder but Elia only shook it off.
“We barely managed through college; this is supposed to be our time Paul, our time together.” Elia took a step away from him.
“I know baby, but just think about how much good I can do in a real war, Elia. I’m faster and stronger than normal humans, and I heal faster.” Paul said eagerly.
“Isn’t this supernatural war you fight here enough?” She asked him.

“I am doing this for us. So I can get a good job.” He tried to reason with her, but Elia wouldn’t listen to him.
“I don’t care about your job! You can work as a door seller for all I care. I just want you here.” Elia started to fight against her tears.
“Then why the hell did you get mad last night?” Paul raised his voice.
Elia was speechless. “You waited a week with telling me.”
“Because I knew you would just throw a bitch fit!” he yelled at her.

They both went silent.
“Leave.” Elia said simply.
Paul sighed. “Elia, I’m sorry.”
“Leave.” She said again with a hard voice.
Paul turned around and walked out the door.

Elia stood there for a second not knowing what to do. How could he be so stupid and join the army? How would that help them? Elia couldn’t even stand the thought of being apart from Paul anymore. She wouldn’t let him leave.

Elia rushed to the door and flung it open. “Paul!” She called.
Paul had just started walking down the road when he heard her. He ran back to her and wrapped his arms around her.
“I don’t want you to leave.” She said weakly and buried her face in his chest.
“I don’t either, but it’s going to be okay.” Paul said softly and brushed his hand over her hair.

“Promise me you’ll come back.” Elia could feel the tears come and let them run down her face.
Paul lifted her up in his arms and went to sit on the couch. “I promise, Elia.”
“And don’t get hurt.”
“I won’t.” He kissed her forehead and wiped her black streaked cheeks. He smiled at her.
“Good, or I’ll come and get you myself.” Elia sniffed her nose a little as Paul chuckled.
“I love you.” She said and kissed his hand.
“I love you too monster.” Paul brought her lips to his.

“You’re leaving when the summer is over, right?” Elia asked.
Paul didn’t answer and only tightened his grip around her.
“Paul?” she asked and tried to sit up, but he wouldn’t let her.
I’m leaving tomorrow morning.” he whispered.
Elia tried to get out of his grip as her world came crashing down around her. Paul let go of her when she started trashing with her arms. Angry tears streamed down her face.
“How can you do this to me Paul?” She screamed at him. “How can you just leave me so easily, don’t you love me anymore?”

“Elia, don’t be silly, of course I love you.” Paul tried to hug her but she jumped away from him.
“Then why? There must be another way!” Elia begged.
“We’ll work this out.” Paul said.
“How can we work this out when you leave in less than twenty-four hours?” She asked in disbelief. “I won’t be able to talk to you in six month.”
“Elia. Please. I’m doing this for us. When I get back, I promise you, everything will be perfect.”

“If I could, I would hate you.” Elia said weakly.
Paul flinched.
“How will I even know if you’re okay?”
“Declan Smith is also going, he’ll have my back.” Paul said.
Elia felt sad when Paul mentioned his name, she hadn’t talked to him for a long time, and she neither wanted him to go to war. And Paul was right; he had his advantages with being a werewolf.

“Have you told your mother?” she wanted to know.
“I wanted to tell you first.” Paul dared to take her hand. “But I’m going over to talk to her now.”
“Okay. Go. I need to think.” Elia said and sat down on the couch and wrapped her arms around her knees and rested her chin on them.

Paul walked over and kissed her forehead before walking out. He was starting to think that this wasn’t the right solution after all, but it was too late to back out.

Shitty, I know. The next one will be in Paul's point of view and a lot better.

I can't update tomorrow, I'm graduating and I'm also going on a 'after' party. My summer vacation starts tomorrow as well! If only the weather could be a little better.

Ask me questions at formspring. That makes me really happy! :D
