The Life I Never Knew I Had

Everyone was in the dinning room waiting for Ryan and Shelby to
Come down.
They joined us shortly after and sat down.
I smiled at Shelby who gave me a quick thumbs up before we started eating.
Once again dinner was quite.
After dinner Shelby and I headed to our room.
As we got ready for bed Shelby told me all about her and Ryan.
I was happy for them.
I crawled in bed and after an hour or so of talking we fell asleep.

The next morning I quickly got ready for school and met Ryan by the front door.
He nodded his head at me and helped me into the helicopter.
Lance flew us to Maryland and dropped us off in the forest.
Ryan, then, rode me to my school.
Today, I had actual classes, instead of being with Doctor Martin.
The day went by faster and in no time I was outside waiting for Ryan.
He came shortly after and handed me his helmet.
“You get to see your family today,”
“Get out!”
“No,”
I laughed and got on the bike.
I held on to his waist and he speed off to my home.
He dropped me off at my front door. “I’ll be back in an hour,”
I nodded my head, then gave him a hug. “Thank you so much,”
“Yeah,” he said let go of me.
I walked inside the warm house and smiled.
I smelled my mom’s cooking and I could hear my brothers arguing over the remote.
I was home again.
I walked out of the doorway and looked at my brothers.
They looked up and grinned.
“Jenny!” They yelled.
Antonio reached me first and hugged me. Gavin joined the hug shortly after.
My mom came out of the kitchen and smiled at me.
I pushed my brothers off and hugged my mom, tightly.
“What are you doing here?”
“Ryan, brought me, he knew I missed you guys. Where are the others?” I asked.
“School and your fathers at work,”
“Right,” I sighed. “I smell baked ziti,”
My mom took my hand and led me into the kitchen.
She feed us and we talked and laughed together.
Lucy, Ian and my dad came home and joined us.
The hour went by quickly and Ryan knocked on the door.
I hugged and kissed my family good bye and promised to visit again soon.
Ryan took me back into the forest and helped me into the helicopter.
Lance flew us home, quickly. We were late for our training.
Sebastian ushered me into the house and led me to my room. As he did, he told me all the important things we had to do today, before the ball.
I was not looking forward to this ball or to the preparation for it.
I sighed as I made my way into the shower.
After a few minutes I changed into my clothes and walked out of the room.
“Hey,” Shelby smiled.
“Hey,” I smiled drying my hair. “What’s up?”
“I get my own room,” she grinned. “They finished it today, so I’m moving out,”
“I’m going to miss you,” I said hugging her.
“Same, but, I’ll be right across the hall,”
“Sleep over” I laughed.
“Yup. Getting ready for the ball?”
“Yeah, not looking forward to it,”
“They aren’t that bad,”
I gave her a look and she laughed. “Get going,”
“Why don’t you have to all of this?”
“I did already,”
“You’re picking out your dress today,”
“Yay,” I muttered leaving.
I heard her laugh as left the room.
Season was waiting for me by the door.
“Princess, come, you don’t have much time,” Sebastian led me to the meeting hall.
The maids were in there will tons of dresses.
“Whoa, I don’t like the look of this,” I muttered.
“You have to pick a dress for the ball,”
“I have to?”
“Yes, princess, this ball is the third most important day of your life,”
“Third?”
“Yes, first is your wedding and second is becoming queen,”
I nodded my head as Sebastian pushed me behind the changing walls.
I sighed as one of the maids handed me one of the dresses.

I hated all the dresses and I only tried on about a dozen.
“ugh! Can we stop?” I begged.
“Not until you found the right dress,”
I rolled my eyes and handed back the dress I just tried on.
The maid handed me one more dress.
This one was a cream color.
I put it on and smiled.
It wasn’t too horrible.
The top was sleeveless and corset like. The skirt part of the dress was hugged my hips and slowly went out leaving a long train on the floor.
I smiled at myself in the mirror.
“I think I found my dress,” I said walking out of the changing wall.
Everyone looked at me and smiled.
“How do I looked?” I asked.
“You look beautiful,” Sebastian grinned.
I smiled at him and looked in the mirror again.
I guess won’t be that bad.
