The Life I Never Knew I Had

The alarm clock woke me up at four o’clock in the morning. I didn’t have to be up until five thirty, but I wanted to explore the hidden staircase.
I couldn’t risk getting caught.
I changed into my nurses scrubs and nurses shoes. I pulled my hair in a ponytail and put on a little make up.
I tip toed out of my room and down to the library.
Once I reached the library I went to the back of the room to where I found the book and the mysterious staircase.
I pulled out the book and watched the little door open.
I poked my head into the small doorway and slowly made my way down the dark staircase.
I couldn’t see were I was going, so I used the wall to guide me.
Once I was at the bottom of the stairs my eyes were adjusted to the darkness.
I looked around of a source of light.
I ran my hands along the wall.
I felt a switch and flipped it up.
The dark room was suddenly filled with light.
I looked around the cob web covered room.
There were pictures along the walls, statues, paintings, books and maps.
I walked over to the pictures and painting and looked at them.
They were from the war that happened many years ago. The statues and armor were all from the war too.
Actuality everything here was from the war.
I looked closely at the painting to see if it had a date.
It did. The date was November the twenty first 1988.
That was the date I was born.
I stared thinking.
Dakota or Pontiac has to be one of my birthplaces.
I continued to look around the small dusty room for anymore clues.
I found a book about both Dakota and Pontiac.
I grabbed them and turned off the light and went up stairs.
I tip toed back to my room and hide the books under my bed.
I looked at the clock; it told me it was minutes pass five.
I grabbed my school stuff and walked down to the dinning room.
I was surprised to see Lance and Ryan already there.
“Hey” I said
“Good morning Princess Jenifer” Lance said as Ryan said, “good morning”
“When do we leave?” I asked.
“Soon, so hurry up” Ryan answered.
I rolled my eyes as Eugene can and placed my food in front of me.
“Thank you” I smiled at him.
He nodded his head and left the room.
“How are we going to get to school on time if it took us a week to get here?” I asked.
They laughed. “We have a helicopter” Ryan answered.
“What? You had a helicopter but you choose to travel by horse and buggy?”
“Yeah, they buggy was earlier for us to take you”
“Oh,” I continued to eat my breakfast.
Once I was done I hurried up stairs and finished getting ready.
I opened my door to leave and was startled to see Elliott there.
“Hey” he smiled
“Hey, coming to see me off?”
“Yeah, let’s go” he interlocked our fingers together and we headed downstairs.
“So, what will you do all day?”
“I have king training, so I’ll be pretty busy. But after you come home, we could hang out”
“Sounds good to me” I said once we reached outside.
The helicopter was already on the ground.
“Will you hurry up? Do you want to be late?” Ryan yelled.
I rolled my eyes. “I’m coming,” I yelled back at him.
“I’ll see you when you get back” Elliott
“Yeah, bye”
“Bye”
We kissed each other on the lips quickly.
I got in the helicopter with the help of Lance.
Ryan stared up the helicopter and lifted us slowly in the hair.
“Here’s your cell phone, incase you need us, we put of numbers in there,” Lance said.
“Thanks” I opened my phone and looked at all the unread messages and missed calls.
I closed my phone and tried to finish the work I missed.
I was almost done the work when Ryan came to the back of the helicopter.
“We’re almost there,” he informed me
“Okay thanks” I started packing up my stuff.
“We’re landing!” Lance called from the front of the helicopter.
He landed the helicopter slowly.
“Where are we?” I asked Ryan
“We are in a near by forest. We school be at your school in about fifteen minutes”
“Okay”
“Come on” he said opening up the door.
He hopped out then helped me out.
“Wait right here” He said as he walked away, with Lance following him.
After about two minutes of waiting I heard the sound of motorcycle coming from the distance.
They came closer to view and I realized it was Ryan and Lance.
Lance had a red one and Ryan had a blue one.
Lance kept on driving but Ryan stopped in front of me.
“Get on” he said handing me his helmet.
I put my book bag on both of my shoulders and got on the bike.
“Don’t you need a helmet too?” I asked taking the helmet from him.
“I only have one. Now, hold on tight”
“Okay” I said wrapping my arms around his waist.
He took off quickly and speed out of the forest, which took us straight to the high way.
After about fifteen minutes we were at my school.
“Okay princess, you can let go now”
“Oh right, sorry”
He chuckled. “Okay, if any one asks where you were, you moved and if they asked who I am, tell them I’m a friend of yours,”
“Okay,” I said getting off the bike and handed him his helmet.
“Your about five minutes early and I’ll pick you up when school is over, which is two o’clock right?”
“Yeah, see you then”
“Bad bye” he called over his shoulder
“Bad bye” I said after him.
I walked into the building and walked to my first class.

School was great; I missed medical school so much.
I saw all my friends, who tackled me with questions.
I tried answering them the best way I could, I didn’t want to tell them too much.
At two o’clock I walked about of the school with my three best friends, James, Morgan and Suzy.
“Whoa, who’s the hot dude with the bike?” Suzy asked.
I looked over to where she was looking at and saw Ryan.
“That’s a friend of mine, Ryan” I said.
“Can we meet him?” they asked
“I guess, let me ask him, he doesn’t really like people,”
They nodded their heads.
I walked over to him. “Hey”
“Ready?” he asked.
“No, my friends want to meet you”
He rolled his eyes. “Fine”
I smiled. “Thank you,”
We walked over to them. “Guys this is Ryan and Ryan this is James, Morgan and Suzy” I said pointing to each of them.
They said hello to each other as they shook hands.
“Sorry we can’t stay and talk but we have to go” Ryan said nicely.
“Okay, later Jenny bear” Morgan said hugging me. I hugged all of them and say bye.
Ryan and I walked to his bike and got on.
I put on his helmet and held on to him.
“I have a surprise for you” he said.
“Okay,”
“You’ll love it,” and with that he took off.
We drove for a few minutes until we hit the park near my house.
I saw Lance leaning on his bike.
I got off the bike and took off the helmet. I walked up to him and Ryan did the same.
Lance had a huge smile on his face. I turned to look at Ryan, who also had a huge smile on his face.
Once I reached Lance, he smiled at me and nodded his head toward the huge oak tree.
I walked over to the tree and stopped died in my traces, shocked.
