*Marie's POV*

Matt's arms were tight around my waist, my eyes shot open as he breathed steadily against my skin. I shivered as he moved.

"Are you awake?" He asked quietly.

"Yah." I whispered back, sitting up and holding my head "What... we... Huh?" I looked around.

Matt watched as I paced the floor, picking up my clothes and putting them back on. I shook my head, tears falling from my eyes slowly "I can't.. I didn't.." I looked up at the ceiling and shook my head, then looked back at Matt "I'm sorry."

"It's o-"

But before he could finish talking, I walked out of the room. I did not just sleep with Eric's favorite singer. That's like the... the... cardinal girlfriend sin. The biggest slap in the face, wether Eric was alive or not, I still felt incredibly horrible.

I slapped my finger against the stop button on the stereo and the music fell silent. I unplugged my iPod and threw it onto the couch, running my hands through my hair. I took long deep breaths, pacing the floor as I heard Matt in the back lounge, probably pissed off. I felt like an asshole, a bitch, completely undeserving of what he just did.

But I felt something... Like it wasn't the first time I'd felt like this. Frankly, I hadn't gotten any since Eric died. I wouldn't let anyone that close, not intimately or sexually.

I dashed to the counter, lunging at my ringing cell phone "Hello?" I asked, not realizing how whimpering my voice sounded.

"Hey, it's Brian.... Synyster-"

"I know who this is." I rolled my eyes, wiping them with my sweathshirt sleeve "What do you want?" It came out more angry than I meant.

"Jesus, what got into you miss sunshine? I was just wondering if you've seen our singer? It seems he followed you lead the other day, and went AWOL." He finished with a laugh "Have you?"

"Uhm..." I paused and looked around "If I do, I'll tell him you're looking for him."

"That didn't answer my question." I could hear the smirk in his voice "So he's been around, has he? Is that the reason you're so uptight?"

I groaned "Listen, I'll tell him you're looking for hi-"

"OH! You're actually in the middle of it? Sorry I-"

"No." I huffed a little and watched as Matt walked in "I'll send him right over, as soon as I see him." I hun up "Bria-... Synyster Gates," I mocked "Is looking for you. Like I didn't know who it was." I rolled my eyes and leaned against the counter.

I looked Matt over quick as he stood still. He looked somewhat worried, and somewhat plain depressed.

"Hey..." I tilted my head to the side and locked eyes with him "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to be a totall bitch about tha-"

But being Matt, of course he wouldn't listen. He walked over and cupped my face in his hands, pulling me close and pressing his lips against mine. For a moment I was shocked, I figured he'd hate me after ating the way I did. But within seconds I kissed back. All conscience feelings about Eric were gone, he had told me he wanted me happy.

"Hey Marie! The Avenged guys are looking for Matt, have you se-.."

Matt and I paused, turning to stare at John as he stopped in the middle of the stairs, a smile spreading over his face. He jogged down the stairs, leaving the door open. Matt laughed "Cat's out of the bag." His vibrating chest moved my body once again.

"GUYS I FOUND THEM! THEY'RE MAKING OUT IN THE BUS!" John shouted, followed up by cat calls and shouted laughter.

I rested my chin on Matt's chest and looked up into his eyes. His hand moved some hair from my face, his fingers gently brushing against my skin. "I don't know why..." He paused, biting the bottom of his lip "I don't want to scare you off... but I think I... I think I love you."

I nodded a little "I know you." I whispered, his eyes somewhat widened, but then went back to normal as he nodded curiously "It feels like I've been here before, been back there before..." I pointed to the back lounge "With you."

Matt nodded again "It was kind of... deja vu." I agreed with a small laugh.

"But I'm not her." I looked down at the floor, closing my eyes "I wish, because then you'd actually love me."

Matt's fingers moved from the side of my face, and tipped my chin up "Hey. Hey hey hey," He rubbed his thumb along my jaw line "Just because you aren't her, doesn't mean I'll love you any less."

"I feel like... a bad person. For feeling this way about anyone other than Eric." I whispered as my eyes watered.

"Don't..." Matt sighed and glanced up a little "We have to move on..."

"Together." I giggled as he nodded "I was joking.."

"I'm not." A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, "But I'm done with only loving someone on tour. I want it to be more than that." I nodded as he kept going "If we," He gestured between us "Try this, you have to agree to move to Huntington and in with me. Because I'm not losing another girl because of a damn tour ending."

"Move to H-H-Huntington? California?" I gaped "That's.... a whole 'nother coast." I stared past him and at the wall of the bus "That's so far away from home... from my parents, my brothers..."

"Brothers?" Matt asked, fear somewhat underlying in his voice.

I smirked and looked back at his eyes "If you promise not to leave me in the middle of a street if we don't work out."

"We'll work out." He pressed his lips to mine "I've learned my lessons."

"Do you think they approve?" I asked quietly as Matt hugged me to his body. I felt him nod "Really? Like... would she be mad at me?" I looked up.

I saw a sadness in his eyes "No. I think she'd love you, and approve of you. You two'd get along so well... The test though," He tapped my nose gently, I laughed under my breath "Is if you get along with Jackie, Hanna, Leana, and Lacey. Oh, duh, and the guys." He shrugged "But even if they don't like it, we're still trying."

I nodded. Who ever thought that me, Marie Lee Pristen, from a small town on the East Coast, would get to tour with my band and Avenged Sevenfold? Who would ever even THINK I would be dating M. Shadows? Matt Sanders? That he'd actually want me to move in with him.

The biggest honor was that he actually thought she'd approve of me. I prayed, hoped, wished, and prayed even more, that she did. I knew, for a fact, that Eric would be ok with it. He had always looked up to the guys' musical abilities and I bet they'd be great friends.
