Who's Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf?

Jared, Quil, and Seth were the first ones who saw us, Jared whistled.
I tried to keep a serious face, and concentrated on not tripping down the stairs.
"Damn, T.J. when did you turn hot?" asked Quil, eying me up and down.
"Oh I don't know maybe the damn beauty fairy visited me last night"
I walked over to Embry, whose mouth was wide open, lightly I closed it.
"Don't wanna catch flies do you?
He smiled down at me, and grabbed me around the waist, a feeling of happiness burst into my stomach.
"You look amazing baby doll" he whispered in my ear, leading me towards the door.
I looked around the room, someone was missing, "Where's asshole?"
"He's meeting us there, him and Sam had something to do" answered Jared.

Embry pulled up to the school, so many people dressed in different colors walked passed the truck.
"Never seen so many fine looking ladies" mumbled Jared, as he took in Ashley Thomas.
She had on a skimpy blue dress, if she bent over she'd probable flash us.
Leah smacked him in the head, before hopping out of the truck.
"You dog" she muttered, I laughed and linked arms with her.
We headed inside while the boys waited for the Alpha and his pet.
Slow songs played and I made a face at one of the couples close to us, Leah laughed.
"No romantic crap for you?" she asked, her eyebrow shooting up.
I shook my head, " romance is a bunch of grossness"
Leah glanced over her shoulder, her smile quickly fading, I followed her gaze.
The boys were standing there, quietly whispering amongst them selves.
I walked up to them, Leah behind me, a look of disbelief across her face.
I had the urge to ask her what the hell was going on, but opted against it.
Looking over at Jacob, his eyes were on me, his deep brown eyes pierced me.
I was frozen in his stare, I felt the heat shoot up my spine.
His eyebrow shot up, so I knew he could see the way I was feeling.
I just stared at him, god he was hot.
If I didn't hate him enough, I would jump his bones in a heart beat.
"Hello? Earth to dorkanator" someone waved their hand in front of me, pulling me out of my trance.
"Oh sorry, dozed off" I muttered, making sure my eyes didn't wander back to Jake.
Jared laughed and lightly grabbed my hand, leading me too the dance floor.
A look of shock must of been on my face cause he bent down to my ear.
"It's about to be World War 3 over there" he muttered twirling me around.
I glanced over his shoulder, Leah had her hands against Jake's chest.
A wave of jealously washed over me, I didn't like her being so close to him.
Shaking my head, I turned to Embry, Sam had his right wrist locked in his hand.

"I hate being able to feel all their damn emotions" mumbled Jared, as he dipped me.
I laughed, "human emotions aren't great either"
He smiled down at me, his black eyes gentle,
"Taylor you look like shit"
I rolled my eyes before busting into giggles, "Nice way to tell me"
"No your broken inside" he sounded serious.
I looked away, but said no more.
What else would he expect to see? Me singing and dancing?
I wanted Jacob that much I couldn't deny anymore.
I wanted to ease the pain, the hurt, the anger he was feeling.
For the first time in my life I realized, I wanted to be his soul mate.
