A bedroom, feminine, slightly messy and very brightly decorated. Loud music plays (I Gotta Feeling – Black Eyed Peas) as five girls – Tessa, Louise, Ally, Claire and Rachel, all in their late teens and early twenties, dance around the room all preparing for a good night out on the town. At points they sing along to the music, at others they dance and at others they perform rituals typical of getting ready – trying to decide on an outfit or shoes, doing their hair or make up etc…
At the chorus (“I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night etc…) all girls face the audience and sing, tunelessly, along to the song. Once the chorus finishes, Louise turns the music off, all the girls laugh and have group hug before collecting last items such as bags and exit.
