Chapter 11
TOM'S POV
I walked away from bill wound up with the way he was treating me and the others,I walked aimlessly until I came to a small quiet play area I went and sat on one of the swings the cold chains pressing against my skin making me shiver I sat fighting back tears some times i wondered weather bill was related to me
a hand placing its self on my shoulder made me jump and turn around I looked up and saw georg looking down at me
"Hey"
"hey what's up?"
"bill he's so selfish and its getting on my nerves all ways has to be about him and if its not he throws a huge tantrum!"
"yeah well that's bill for you and any way if you ignore him he will soon give up so make the right choice"
"yeah I suppose your right"
"exactly"
He looked down ant his watch
"crap shannen,THE BABY!"
He grabbed my arm and began to run dragging me along behind him.
SHANNENS POV
I sat quietly putting my head back and holding the baby to my chest Gustav looked down at me I handed the baby up to him he smiled at the tiny gurgling bundle in his arms
"shes beautilful"
he whispered
"yeah she looks like georg, Gusatv do you think I made the worng choice?"
"About what?"
"Georg,I mean I love him and everything but he wasnt here for the birth of our child don't you find that a bit weird?"
"Georg has allways found his friends his number one priority so maybe he isnt used to the cocept of having a child to look after"
I sighed and looked down playing with my hands The door swung open and georg appeared red faced and panting I glared at him
GEORG'S POV
shannen glared at me from her bed The tiny baby gurgled happily in hr arms i smiled slightly and gently lifted her, she was beautiful
i noticed shannen was still glaring
She was eventualy discharged and we went back to our flat , we stepped through the door and she began to dart around angrily throwing stuff in to a bag
"Were the hell do ou think you're going"
"oh I'm not going any were!"
"What?!?"
"YOU ARE!"
"YOU CANT JUST KICK ,E OUT!"
"WATCH ME!"
She threw the bag out of the door and whispered with tears staining her cheeks
"Come back when you can be a better parent"
"But...."
she slammed the door I inhaled deeply and made my way down to the bottom of the flats I had no clue what I would do or were I would go
SHANNEN'S POV
I leant against the door and allowed the tears to spill our tiny still unnamed baby girl began to cry I lifted her
"come on now shhh, daddy will be back soon okay"
I realized that she needed georg to grow up I wrapped her in blankets and pulled on my hoodie I walked out pushing her pram I screamed over the balcony at georg
"GEORG PLEASE COME BACK IM SORRY PLEASE!"
He looked up at me hitched his bag up on to his shoulder and carried on walking I began to sob tears blurring my vision I came to the top of a flight of solid concrete stairs
I shouted georgs name again this time he didn't even turn around the pram was balanced dangerously on the edge of the steps
I couldn't hold it properly and felt my grip slipping I screamed desperately
"GEORG THE BABY!!"
He turned all most instantly and broke in to a run hew wouldn't be in time to catch the baby I knew it so I moved slowly and pushed the pram forward to safety
Just as I stepped forward my footing went and I plummeted backwards hitting every step on the way down As I hit the bottom I tried to stand up pain tore through every muscle in my body
forcing me to lay back down I closed my eyes colours swirling in front of me
Purple red yellow then finally .....black....
GEORG'S POV
As I got to the top of the steps I realized something was wrong shannen was laying at the bottom of the steps blood pouring from a wound on her head I panicked when I saw the baby's pram by its self I darted to the top of the stairs and lifted her gently and then went back to shannen I called and ambulance for the second time today
HALF AN HOUR LATER
I sat anxiously waiting outside shannens room whilst doctors buzzed around her trying to save her every moment passed like a lifetime, No one quiet knew what to say so we all just sat silently
A nurse came out and stood in front of me I stood to face her she whispered
"we done all we could but she's gone"
I broke down in tears and fell to the floor sobbing adn shaking gustav and sam came over gustav Sobbing and screaming
"NO SHE'S NOT GONE SHE'S NOT DON'T LIE"
I hugged him and we cried together sam joining Bill and tom stood with an arm around each other rubbing there eyes fighting back tears
We were allowed to say our final good byes
I walked in the silent room and sat next to her bed she was wired up to so many different machines
I held her still warm hand , moved her hair out of her face I gently placed a small kiss on her forehead I cried again the tears falling on to the mattress next to her I put my head on my arm and sobbed gustav put his hand on my shoulder and whispered
"so that's it then is that all there is she's gone now?"
"yeah shes gone"
He allowed to silent tears to fall or a while before he wiped them with the back of his hand
I put my head back down until I heard a voice, It was croaky and barely audible
"georg?"
I looked up and saw Shannen's eye's had opened and her chest was rising and falling meaning she was still alive I smiled and began to laugh and cry at the same time Gustav seemed more shocked than anything else frozen to the spot his mouth opened and closed as if he was looking for words She sat up and hugged me
"weres the baby?"
"toms got her"
he came in cradling her she took her from him and looked at me
"what do you want to name her?"
I though for a second
"Helena, Helena Symone Andrea Listing"
she smiled and handed her to me I smiled down at her she looked back up at me with her shining green eyes and seemed to smile
