Prologue
13. I'm turning 13 today. I'm finally a teenager!
At noon, my family and I hopped into our minivan. We were going to Great America, and I had gotten $200 to spend there on whatever I wanted, I couldn't wait to get there!
I should tell you about myself. My name is Avalon; I have long blond hair, piercing dark blue eyes, I'm about 5'5, have an athletic body, do too many sports, get ok grades in school, and considered 'preppy.'
The whole way there, I listened to my new pink I-Pod nano. Kat, my older sister, was playing on her DS; Steven, my little brother, was taking a nap; my mom was reading her newest book, and my dad was driving. The funny thing about my family is that there all red heads with freckles all over there face, so I look nothing like them!
"Ava could you turn do- - -"
All of a sudden, I couldn't hear my mom anymore, I couldn't see her anymore. Everything was black. Where was I?
