I Thought You Could Never Love a Monster. I Was Wrong.

Agony

Edward's POV.~

Edward, Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett sped to Port Angeles, going voer the speed limit, and perfectly missing other cars, and pedestrians. Carlisle got on the phone and dialed up Alice's number.

"Hello?" She answered, Edward listened in on the conversation.

"Alice? It's Carlisle is Remy with you?" He asked, impatiently.

She sound confused. "No, she went a few stores down to look at the music." She said. Edward growled, speeding faster than he ever had down the road.

"You need to get her, quickly. We will be there very shortly." Carlisle ordered, before hanging up.

"Dammit!" Edward hissed, pain portraying his face. His knuckles turning white over the pressure he gave to the wheel.

They arrived shortly after the call and they were all out within a matter of seconds. Alice and Rose came running to them, humanly, of course. Alice had great fear and guilt on her face.

She shook her head, she looked like she was about to cry. "I didn't see it, Edward. I swear, I'm so sorry!" She cried, shaking her head more.

"She's not in the store?!" Edward yelled, catching others' attention.

"No, we checked. But we found her scent near the alley. We checked, and she wasn't there... I think they've got her..." Rose whispered, huddling into Emmett's arms. Edward growled manacingly, getting into the car.

"I am not going to lose her again. We need to find her, search out for her scent as we drive, alright?" Edward quickly said, waiting as everyone piled into the two cars.

"They went that way. And all I can see in a black car, and -" She gasped, her facial expression showing it all. Edward hissed, and both cars sped down the road.

"What, Alice?" Jasper, shook her, trying to bring her out of the vision.

"He let me in. He showed me what they were going to do. They won't kill her, Edward." Alice reassured him quietly. "But Zane wants to change her, he believes she's his mate. He wants her to join the Volturi." Alice yelled, shaking her head.

"So we need to get to Volterra as soon as we -" Carlisle began.

Alice shook her head, whispering. "Oh god, it's horrible!" She hid herself in Jasper's arms. "They are already off! They'll be in Volterra within an hour... I don't know how that is possible. But they have Jane, and someone who I don't recgonize with them..." Alice mumbled.

Edward slammed his foot on the gas, swerving to the left, and back over to where they were before. They were going to the airport, and they were going to save Remy. Edward was going to save her.

Remy's POV.~

I was lifted out of the car, and into a pair of cold, large arms. I was still crying, profusely. I felt a surge of shock go through my body. I jerked in the pair of arms.

"Shh, calm down. We are transporting, with our knew member, William. He's got quite the talent." Zane whispered into my ear.

Suddenly I was jerking around, or we all were. But that only lasted for a moment before everything was calm. I felt electric currents run through me in whatever process this William guy was proceeding.

Soon after the shocks decreased, then leaving my body fully, Zane was walking, carrying me, limp, in his large arms. Through the black fabric on my eyes, I could see the room that we had entered got darker, only some light peering through.

"Ah! You brought her! Perfect, perfect!" I heard a new voice, more exciteding, and not tiring at all. Then I was thrown onto the hard marble ground. The blind fold was ripped off my head and I squinted, looking around frantically to find myself back with the Volturi.

I turned to look up at Aro, who was smiling widely. I gasped, bacing up with my knees. I backed up into a wall, but I turned to see that I had backed up into Zane's legs.

"W-what do you want?" I studdered. Zane knelt down, bringing my gaze to meet with his, using his cold fingers.

"You, of course." He smirked. I pulled away quickly, turning my stare to the ground.

"Well, should we get this started then?" I heard Caius speak, chuckling.

"I figure we have a small vote, if you don't mind, Remy." Aro looked down at me. He was asking me if I was okay with how they'd start with me? Seriously?

"I say torchure, but not too much. The change will do the work." Caius smirked over at me, I glared.

"Who else agrees?" Aro asked the room. The room, which was full of observers raised their hands.

"Is this some kind of sick joke? You have a fucking audience?" I stumbled onto my feet, glaring.

Aro seemed surprised. "Ah, well yes. You see, that is what we do here. It's quite fun, actually." He smirked, walking back over to his chair. Zane came up to me and smiled.

"Soon we will be together, and you won't be able to resist me." He kissed my cheek, I pushed away on insinct. But all he did, was smile, like nothing was wrong.

I looked around the room, realizing that I was the entertainer. I was in the middle of the room, full of vampires smiling deeply, as if they wanted to rip my throat out right then and there.

"Oh, and Zane? While Jane does her duty, make sure to send your vision to Alice. I'm positive Edward will be pained when he sees what's going on." Caius chuckled, as if amused.

I closed my eyes, whispering, "I love you, Edward." Waiting for the pain to start. As if Jane read my mind, she inflicted me with the most horrendous pain ever.

I screamed, clutching my head and falling to the floor. The burning wouldn't stop, it just got worse, and worse. I felt like I was burning, and then I come to realize, it's only in my head, but it's too strong. Jane is too strong, I can't do anything but let her torchure me.

I burning proceeded, and my screaming for help, my shrieks of pain continued along. To really think of such pain, I've never been in this much. Losing my family, that could have been the most painful thing that I would ever go through. But today, the mental burning topped the accident.

Then the burning stopped, and I could feel myself sweating, and I was breathing rappidly hard. I felt the cool marble floor beneath me and relaxed. I lay there, lifeless, unmoving. I stared up at the ceiling, and I could feel myself twitch, and hear myself groan.

"Alright, seems that's enough, am I correct?" Aro questioned. I looked to my left to see a vampire raise their hand. "Yes?" Aro asked.

"Well," the woman started. "If she is going to be changed in the end, shouldn't you do something a little more....entertaining for us, and achingly painful for her?" She insisted. I looked back over to Aro, who was thinking hardly.

"Hmm..." He mumbled. "Well, I do find that a rather swell idea!" He cheered. "Alex, make her lose her sight" He directed Alec, who nodded and stared at me. Then I couldn't see anything. I heard Aro direct someone else. "Anyone up for some fun? Ah, you. Alright, let's see what you can do." He spoke.

"Oh, and Zane, vision this to Alice as well." I could hear Caius smirk perfectly.

I whimpered, trying to feel my way on the ground. I knew I had turned over, I was on my knees, crawling blindly for a way out. But then I felt a painful, agonizing kick to my ribs, and I went flying into a hard stone wall. I knew my ribs were broken, then.

I shrieked in pain, still blinded, I started to search my way when I was pulled by my hair and swung over, my body meeting the hard marble ground. I cried in agony, wincing in pain. The sharp shocks never leaving my body once.

"That's enough." I heard Marcus finally speak. I heard the vampire's footsteps walk away, the steps getting fainter and fainter.

"Alec, you can undo her blindness now." Aro said to Alec. Two seconds later, I could see again. I tried to turn over my gasped in pain at my left side.

I looked out of the corner of my eye to see blood spread throughout my body, and then around to search for the audience full of vampires. But they were gone, and that was quite fast.

"Well, might as well get this done now." Aro smiled over to me. I felt the tears drip down my face, and blur my vision. And then I heard his footsteps, and a second later, Zane was hovering over me, his eyes staring at my blood.

"This will only hurt for a second." He whispered, before he leaned down and pressed his mouth to my neck.

Edward's POV.~

They had just arrived in Italy and they were running through dark, unseen places at quickly as they could Until Alice gasped, stopping instantly.

"What is it, Alice?" Jasper rushed to her side, and craddled her face.

"Oh, my god!" She screamed, she was on the edge of tears, even though she couldn't cry. "Edward...?" She asked, looking up to see Edward in full out pain.

Edward fell to the ground, clutching his head in his hands. he screamed in agony, and if he could cry, he would have made nothing but such a river righH then and there. Edward felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see Carlisle.

"We must go, now. Come on, Edward." He pulled Edward off of his knees, and to his feet.

Edward was in pain, and he couldn't feel anything but such hatred towards himself. As he ran through Italy, he thought of such torchure he'd give to Zane, and to the Volturi for what they have done to his beautiful Remy.
