I Thought You Could Never Love a Monster. I Was Wrong.

Party

The week went by fast. Actually, faster than I thought it would. I found myself becoming close to Becka and Kelly the most. Not so much Nate. But they made me laugh for the first time in almost a year. I grew so accustomed to them, and I loved them as my new friends.

Lunch was quite interesting, on Friday. I sat with my new friends, and we mostly talked about the party that was going to happen tonight.

". . . Yeah, it's going to be amazing! You better have your keg stand there this time. We are going full out on this party!" Becka blabbed on and on about the party, and I couldn't help but zone out as she continued with her rant.

"Remy? Hello? Earth to Remy!" Kelly laughed, waving her hand in front of my face.

I looked up from where I had zoned out, "Huh? Whaa?" Everyone laughed at my out-of-it-ness.

"What in the world are you looking at, Remy? You've zoned out the whole lunch period. I mean, come on! The party tonight! Hello!" Becka chimed in, laughing and making faces. I couldn't help but laugh with everyone and make silly faces and hilarious, odd noises.

Nate laughed too hard; his water flew out in all directions at us. Becka squeeled the loudest, I had my own little scream in there, as did Kelly, and we all jumped back. I lost my balance and fell backwards. A very strong, cold grip help me from hitting the floor. I looked up, and Edward was smiling down at me.

"Steady yourself," he laughed quietly, letting me go. Before I could say anything, he walked off to his table, with the other pale faces that I had not really gotten to know.

"Ooh! Remy's got her eye on Cullen!" Nate cheered. Did I mention loudly? Edward turned back to roll his eyes at Nate, and wink at me. Good golly gosh! Wow, I am lame.

Becka and Kelly chimed in with their 'whoot whoot's' and their 'oww oww's'. Laughing as the responded; loudly, as we sat back down.

"Ha," I laughed half heartedly, very embarrassed. I covered my face, not wanting to show my very pink face.

"Remy! Oh my god! You're blushing! You totally have a thing for Edward!" Could Becka say that any louder? I looked up, to find them laughing hysterically. I found it very rude, actually. I turned around to see all of the group that Edward was with, smirking and giggling. Oh great!

"Who are the others?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

Kelly snorted, "Those are the Cullens. I can't believe we forgot to mention those Gods and Goddesses!" She snorted again, making the table roar again with laughter.

Becka seemed calm enough to answer my question, "Let's see here. The boy with the honey colored hair, who looks like he's always hesitant, that's Jasper Hale. And he's going with Alice Cullen; the short pippy girl with the black spikey hair." She said.

Kelly then interrupted with, "The beautiful girl with the long blonde hair, that's Rosalie, everyone adores her beauty. Oh, and she's with Emmett, the big one, with black slightly curled hair; his dimples are astonishing when he smiles." She finished and looked at Becka who batted her eyes like the way those dumbasses do in the movies.

Kelly groaned at her, continuing with, "And the boy whose hair is a tousled bronze, that's--"

"Edward Cullen." I whispered, interreupting her. I was at awe, at the moment. Staring at his perfect features. His jaw line at the perfect angle. And his skin, looking so very smooth, and precisely very very pale. I could not get over how astonishing good-looking Edward was.

"Shouldn't it be illegal? I mean, with all of that beauty?" I asked myself. Well, I thought I did, until I realized I had said it out loud and the table was booming with laughter. I blushed as I saw Edward look over at me, then away, laughing. Ugh!

The whole table laughed once again.

I was still embarrassed about what happened at lunch, but I found a way to distract myself. I was looking for the right outfit to wear to the party, which was very soon. I looked through my closet almost a thousand times (over exaggerating, I know), until I found the outfit for the party. The skinny jeans were the normal black, and the shirt was a light blue color, with a low cut v-neck. The sleeves cut nice and short.

I changed into my outfit, and put on my converse. I did a routine of make up and hair and headed off for the party.

I was late. I mean, I don't think you can be late to a party, but still. Everyone was there. And I mean everyone. Football players, cheerleaders, etc. Only the ones that were not in sight had always stood out to me the most. The Cullens weren't here. My esteem went down some. I was actually looking forward to seeing them. But I guess not.

"Remy! Hey! Over here!" Kelly called over to me. I walked up to her as she handed me a cup of beer. I drank as I pleased through out it all.

Nate was busy talking to girls, and Becka was on a couch making out with someone who I have never met before. I haven't met just about everyone; but still. My and Kelly sat on the long green couch, where we just talked about almost everything. I felt happy that no mention of my family had be asked.

There was room for some dancing. Well, I wouldn't consider it dancing, really. Being off our rockers, we were slightly out of it, as well; we danced as crazy as we could. Kelly, at one point, fell off the couch, and knocked the lamp off the table. It was definately a laughing matter, but I was glad she wasn't hurt.

Becka had left soon after Nate's friends pitched out downstairs in the basement. I considered they were staying over. Boy night, how lovely. I laughed quietly to myself as the thought went by.

I finally fell out of it, just enough to finally worry about the time; which was a good thing, considering, I was drunk, but not to the extent where i'd crash my car into something. I don't think. . . So I turned to Kelly, herself zoning in and out of reality, occasionally burping her ABC's, and said,

"Hey, Kelly?"

"Yeah, Remy?"

"What time is it? It feels like we've been here forever." I said, smiling as Kelly smirked and gave out a little giggle. Then a burp. How lovely! She checked her phone and when i glanced at her, her eyes went wide. But not freaking-out-so-fucking-much-that-her-parents-would-murder-her kind of way.

"Shit, it's 2 in the morning! Time went by fast! I'm going to die if I don't get home." She said, standing up quickly.

Or maybe she will die for being out late.

"Really? Wow." I said, not all that interested.

Kelly got up, looking slightly out of it and turned to be and hugged me, telling me that she'll see me at school. Then she left, and I was on the couch all by myself. But not for long. A tall lanky red headed boy came and say next to me. I thought everyone went home already? He was far too close.

He put his arm around me and asked, "Do you know where the bathroom is?" His breath smelled of alcohol and smoke. Disgusting. What the hell am I still doing here, anyways?

I shoved him away, too disgusted to even answer him. I got up and threw my cup away.
I headed towards the door and ran outside, almost falling off the steps. I got into my car and drove down the road. I was so glad to be out of there. It seemed like a weight was taken off of my shoulders. But I know it was just from the big crowd in Nate's home.

I drove for 10 minutes just to figure out that I was lost. I knew I was in Forks, but nowhere near my house. Where I drove, it was very deserted. No one in sight. I was driving further until my car kept easing itself two more feet before stopping. I pressed the gas as hard as a could, doing whatever I could to make it go, but my car had failed on me. It died; in which case I figured out on my own when the front end made a loud pop pop BANG noise and everything had turned off completely.

Great! Just fucking great! How awesome is this? My car dies on me. In the middle of nowhere!

I sat there for what I believed to be about 5 minutes, when i gave up and grabbed my stuff. I guess I could walk home. It's not that far. I don't think. Ah, hell, who cares?
I got out of my car and started walking the way I thought would lead me home.

I hadn't noticed how long i'd been walking until I realized that the trees seemed to be appearing. But hardly enough to see anything in my way.

I gave up the road and headed through the trees, into the woods. Maybe there would be a short cut? Who knows?

Dammit.

I was so pissed off at myself. For everything. I wouldn't be lost in the woods if my car wasn't such a piece of shit. My car wouldn't be a piece of shit if I had my father work on it like he promised he would. And my father would have fixed my car if he was alive with the rest of my family. They would be alive if I wasn't such an evil and cruel person and took over driving for my parents on the way home from a christmas party; concluding that my little brothers were asleep, and my parents; including me, were drunk. (Yes, I slipped myself some shots).

It's all thanks to me. I am to blame for. And I deserve this, I guess.
I realized just then, that I had fallen over into the wet mud and leaves, curling myself into a ball, and sobbing to myself, knowing that this would never get better.

It started raining, but I didn't care. I just kept crying. The tears overflowing and fall down, dropping onto the ground that was already wet from the tears of the clouds. I soon felt myself falling into a deep unconsciousness. And I liked it. I liked slipping away. It didn't hurt at all. Which founded to be practically a cure. I slowly went in and out of consciousness, though.

And the last thing I remember was being lifted into a tough frame, the arms massively strong. And I could feel the coldness of his skin through my light weight jacket. I could hardly see his face as my eyes slipped open, my vision blurred. But I could tell that the scenery that was around us, was a different kind of blur. Like running at a super unusual speed. But I knew that was impossible.

He looked down at me, and those warm golden eyes made my heart flutter ten times it's normal pace caught me in a tranze.

And then, the blackness took control over me, and I knew I was slipping away, back into unconsciousness.
