Why Don't You Just Drop Dead?

Autumn Lucca was never a normal boy growing up. From the time he was a small child, he had the power to communicate with the dead. When his parents heard him talking to thin air they just assumed he was going through the "imaginary friend" stage. But when his best friend passed at the age of 10, his parents started to question it when their son was caught talking to his diseased friend Levi. At first his parents just thought he was in denial, until of course he started passing along messages from his mothers dead grandmother. When they discovered his gift, his father bailed, leaving his mother to raise her "Special" son alone.

Now, at the age of 16, Autumn is transferred to a private school because his secret is let out and he's ridiculed by his fellow peers. What happens when the deceased brother of a boy attending the school he now attends contacts him asking him to pass along a message to his brother? What happens when the two boys who both happen to be loners form a close bond?
