Brooklyn

"Let's move, move, move!" Brooklyn rushed us out the door.

"Brooklyn, we don't have to leave for another thirty minutes." Alex rolled his eyes.

"Being early is always good." She kept trying to push us but we wouldn't move.

I think I knew what this was probably about. Nate.

"Brooklyn, chill." I shook her shoulders gently.

"Fine!" She huffed in anger, which I knew was fake, as she walked off.

"What's up with her?" Zack whispered.

"I think it's that Nate guy." I whispered back.

"Yeah, yeah." Rian said. "Who was he?"

"Her ex-fiance."

Their eyes widened, except for Alex's. I think he already knew?

"I didn't know she used to be engaged!" Zack said.

"Yeah, especially to him. He seemed like a douche." Rian chuckled lightly.

Everyone laughed along.

"Hey, guys!" Hally skipped over to us.

We all waved.

"Oh, Matt and Brooklyn are gonna come over and prank you guys in a minute." She said casually.

"Hally, you ruin everything!" I heard Matt and Brooklyn laugh.

They walked into the room holding two cans of silly string. They were smirking evilly.

Our eyes widened as we ran out the door of the building where we played that night and out into the back parking lot.

Brooklyn sprayed at me.

I did a ninja jump, avoiding the it.

"You can't get me with your string of sillyness!" I shouted causing Brooklyn to started giggling. Cute.

I turned around.

Shit!

Matt sprayed me in the face with a ton of silly string.

"Hahaha! Jack got silly stringed!" Alex yelled. Brooklyn walked over and sprayed him in the face, smirking.

"Hahaha! Alex got silly stringed!" I mocked him.

"Hey, B, silly string me." Hally held out her hand for Brooklyn to hand her a bottle.
But instead,

"Okay!" Brooklyn chirped, spraying silly string ALL over her.

Hally gasped and everyone tried to hold in their laughter.

"Oh. no. you. didn't." Hally said through gritted teeth.

"Eep!" Brooklyn ran behind me.

"You can't hide behind your wimpy boyfriend!" Hally joked.

"Hey! I'm not wimpy! I'm braver than you!" I shouted at her.

"Kids, kids, kids, break it up." Matt came between us.

Everyone gave him odd looks.

"Just kidding!" He spun around in a circle, spraying everyone. Except Brooklyn. She was hiding.

"HAH! I'm a survivor!" She sang and did a dorky look.

I snatched a bottle of Silly String from Matt's hand and walked up behind her.

"You sure about that?" I said in a deep voice.

"Holy crap!" She spun around, her finger on the button of the bottle, ready to spray.

We had our cans aimed at each other.

"My bets on Brooklyn." I heard Alex say.

"Mine too." Matt agreed.

"I'm going with Jack." Rian and Zack said.

"You're going down, Barakat." Brooklyn smirked.

"Bring it on, Marshall."

We glared at each other for a few moments.

"Hold on!" I picked her up over my shoulder.

"What are you doing!?" She laughed.

"You didn't think I would let you spray me in the face with silly string, did you?"

I felt something hit my butt.

"No, but you obviously have no problem with me spraying your butt." I could tell she was smirking.

"That's a colorful ass, Jack." Alex laughed. I craned my head around.

I sprayed Brooklyn's butt with silly string, too.

"Muahaha, revenge!" I shouted.

"Jack!" She screamed.

"Yes, dearest?" I asked politely.

"Why did you spray my ass with silly string?"

"For the same reason you did; You won't let me spray your face." I set her down.

She giggled.

"Well, I'm gonna go change." She announced.

"Yeah, same." Alex said, picking some string out of his hair with a look on his face as if he just ate something sour.

"Nice face, Alex." I commented.

"Screw you, Jack." He said.

"Hey, let's keep it PG here, kids!" Matt said.

"What are you? Our kindergarten teacher now?" Rian laughed.

"I might as well since I'm managing five year olds." Matt smirked.

"We are not five year olds! He is!" They all pointed at me.

"Didn't your mothers ever tell you it wasn't polite to point?"

They all laughed lightly as we walked to our van where the girls were.
