Alone

Alone

Alone in my small room with tears for company. Locked away, shut tight the pain that tears at my heart. My sobs howl out the pain buried in my soul. Fear and frustration wreak my panicked mind when no one comes. I claw at the door to human compassion and sympathy. My voice wails to those kept away, forgotten and ignored by all. I scream to the world and my only answer is the muted calls of my generation as we face a world without instruction, guidance, or hope. Slowly, weakly, I sink to the floor, for I am alone.
