It was a normal day. Bella was over as usual, and the family was off doing their normal routine. Alice had taken Bella of somewhere so I had some down time to do whatever I wanted. Maybe I would go find Esme, and talk to her.
I walked into the living room and saw her looking out the window. The sun reflected off her marble face as it slightly sparkled. I sat down parallel to her at the piano and brushed my fingers along the delicate, ivory keys when she looked up and noticed my presence.
“Oh, hello Edward, did you need something?” Esme said in her light voice
“No, not particularly”
“Have you happened to talk to Vierra lately?” She asked. Vierra was always one of her favorites, and always seemed to be on her mind
“No, I think I will go do that though,” I said
“Well, tell her I say hi, and want tell her to come home,” Esme smiled
I got up from my seat at the piano bench and walked to the stairs. I silently glided up the stairs and went into my room where I could have some quiet. Closing the door behind me I took a seat on the couch in my room and closed my eyes trying to focus.
‘Vierra, you in here?’ I wondered
‘Of course I am Edward, there isn’t a day that goes by where I am not in your head wondering what everyone is up to. Its just that sometimes you don’t acknowledge my presence’ She laughed her familiar laugh. I could hear it, and it made me feel like she was right here, ‘is there something wrong? Anyone you need to me to knock some sense into?’
That was plain old V thinking of others before herself.
‘No, just wanted to see what you were up to, Esme misses you and say hi. She also wants you to come home’
‘Oh, well, I’m sure I’ll be around soon. And why are you asking about me? You’re the one who has their own human’ She yelled, the sound echoing off the sides of my head
‘Yea, Bella,’ I said, ‘She’s amazing. Reminds me a lot of you when we were still human’
‘Why are you referring to me over a hundred years ago? Make me feel old why don’t you’
‘I didn’t mean it like that’
‘I know, it’s okay anyway. Your older than me’ She smirked.
I knew she was smirking. I loved all of V’s weird facial expressions and the funny noises she would make when in a conversation.
‘So anyway, where are you?’ I asked her
‘Somewhere in south America’ She told me
‘Oh, that sounds interesting’
“Edward?” I heard Bella’s voice get closer, “Where are you?”
“Check his room,” I heard Alice say breaking my train of thought
‘I think your human awaits you’ Vierra laughed
‘I think so too’
Alice and Bella barged in. Bella looked confused and Alice started waving. I guess she knew what I was doing
‘I’ll talk to ya later V. Alice says hi’
‘Okay, Bye Edward’
‘I miss you V’
‘Okay me too. Now shut up, I need the last word in’ I laughed to myself at that one
“What are you doing in here?” Bella asked looking confused that I was sitting in silence by myself, or what appeared to be myself
“Daydreaming of course” Alice said and winked at me
