Shape Shifters in Training

I was surprised.
I wasn't the only one!
Of course, Mr Marx being a man of science, replied, "Hahaha. You have a very active imagination. I like that in kids."
Hiro shrugged.
Eventually, the recess bell rang. I got my playlunch and sat down on a seat, alone, eating.
Hiro sat next to me.
"Konchiwa." he said.
I didn't understand what that meant.
"Hello, silly duffer!!" beamed Hiro.
I waved my hand slightly.
I needed to know, "Can you really shapeshift?"
Hiro nodded.
"Could you show me?"
Hiro took my arm and we went to an area where there were no people.
Hiro jumped high into the air and before my eyes turned into a wolf!!!
He was a cute wolf, fluffy and young. He had purple eyes and a moon patch on his head. I could tell he enjoyed being a wolf.
"Now you believe me, don't you?" laughed Hiro.
I nodded. "I can do it, too."
Hiro didn't believe me, which made me angry and I turned into a robin.
"Birdy!!" he giggled.
I turned back into a child and we laughed and played until recess was over.
