Shape Shifters in Training
Grade 1-3
With Sharkia gone, Hiro and I were alone. We were the only shapeshifters once again... or so we thought.
In our grade 1 we met a girl in our class called Viola.
Everyone knew her for her obsession with butterflies. Hiro and I didn't think much of her... until one day. Shiki Primary School was a butterfly haven. Millions of butterflies were attracted to the plantlife, especially the flowers, for they had sweet nectar. I know. I tried it as a robin. One day, Viola was studying the butterflies and playing with them, as usual. The school bullies went up to her and said,
"Hey butterfly freak! If ya like butterflies so much, why don't'cha go fly away with 'em?! HAHAHA!"
She frowned and replied, "Great idea!"
She then shape shifted into a butterfly and flew off. The bullies fled. Everyone laughed when they found out they had fled from a puny butterfly. Little did they know it was Viola.
The next day we went up to her and grinned. We showed her we had the same ability as her. In Grade 2, Viola, Hiro and I met Lulu. She was always being chased by dogs for no apparent reason. When we met her, Hiro's nose twitched and he went ballistic. He chased Lulu. She shape shifted into a cat and climbed up the tree! The bullies fled, they saw the whole scene. Human Hiro barked and people thought he was weird. Eventually, Hiro came to like Lulu and they didn't fight. Grade 3, we met a very special boy... His power seemed overwhelming compared to ours.
