Brian's POV

My eyes widened and my mouth fell open.

How the fuck did he know?

I didn't respond at all.

The longer I stayed quiet, thebigger Matt's stupid grin got.

"What makes you think that?" I asked calmly.

"Just the way you look at her. Why didn't you say anything dude?" He asked.

"What the fuck am I supposed to say?" I asked, looking down at the table.

"Tell her you like her!" Matt said simply.

I just shook my head.

"Why not?" Matt bellowed.

Matt's little outburstgrabbed the guys attention and they turned their heads towards us.

"Why not what?" Zacky asked coming to stand next to us.

"Yeah, what are you guys talking about?" Jimmy questioned, coming next to me and putting his arm around my neck.

"Nothing."

"Syn likes Cee." Me and Matt said at the same time.

"Holy shit!" All three of them said.

"Dude, you have to tell her." Johnny said.

"And why do I have to do that?" I questioned, getting irritated.

"Why wouldn't you want to? Man, she's a cool chick." Zacky said.

"Just drop it guys." I said, rubbing my head.

"Give us one good reason why you don't want to tell her." Jimmy said.

"Cause dude. She wouldn't like me." I said lowly.

It got quiet for a minute.

"You are Synyster fucking Gates!! Why wouldn't she like you?" Matt asked.

I didn't say anything again.

"Don't tell me you are doubting yourself over the shit that happened with Michelle." Zacky urged.

I looked down again.

Cynthia's floor was starting to look real interesting.

I didn't want to talk about this.

I hate acting pitiful and weak in front of them.

But if I couldn't be like that with my best friends, then who?

"You guys just don't understand." I said.

"Then why don't you explain it to us. Make us understand." Matt encouragingly.

"It's just that----," I cut off because Cynthia's bedroom door opened and her and Val stepped out.

My mouth hung open once again.
