Seize The Day

Seize The Day (Part 38)

After all the craziness was over, everyone was ready to go to bed and Sasha was going to go home.

"I'll walk you to your car to make sure you get ther ok." Brian said.

"Ok. I need to talk to you anyway." Sasha said as she walked out the door.

My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.

What's that about?

Brian's POV

We walked in silence to her car.

What does she want to talk to me about?

We got to her car and she turned to lean agaisnt it.

"What's going on?" I asked her.

"Why don't you tell me." Sasha said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I'm confused. What are we talking about?" I asked.

"Cynthia." She said simply.

"What about her?" I gulped.

"When are you going to tell her?" Sasha asked.

My mouth fell open.

"Who the fuck told you?! It was Matt, wasn't it? I'm gonna kill him!" I yelled.

"No one told me, but you just did." She said with a smirk.

"Fuck. How did you find out?" I asked, feeling like a complete idiot for ratting myself out.

"I can tell. It's just the way you look at her." Sasha said.

"Fuck. You can't tell her."I urged.

"I'm stuck on why you wouldn't want to tell her." Sasha said.

"It's...complicated." I said.

"I'm a pretty smart person, I think I can keep up." She said.

"She's just...she wouldn't like someone like me." I said.

"Shouldn't you let her be the judge of that." Sasha asked matter of factly.

"Why? I've already figured it out for her." I said.

"Cynthia doesn't like anyone making decisions for her. You should know that by now." Sasha pointed out.

"I know. But it's better this way." I said, looking down.

"Better for who?" She asked.

I looked down again.

"Cee told me about your ex. You shouldn't dictate your worth over one bad relationship. You're a good guy. I can see that. I wouldn't let you anywhere near Cee if you weren't. She may not realize it yet, but she likes you just as much as you like her." Sasha said softly.

She came forward and hugged me.

"Don't give up. You don't know what you'll be missing out on." She said as she got in her car.

I watched silently as she drove away.

She's right.
