Twins

Blue.

Front door: locked.
Side door: locked.
Back door: moved, but locked.
Window: Open.
Jamie climbed in through the tiny window above their kitchen sink nearly knocking off the plates drying in the rack. She was relieved to be home finally, the streets have always creeped her out. Jamie flipped open her phone and it read 5:16, her father would be up in roughly fifteen minutes for work. She opened up the fridge grabbed the lemonade and sauntered upstairs to her room. The door was cracked open, and Jamie knew she hadn't left it like that. When she entered, she saw a little white piece of paper folded in sixths laying on her bed. On the front side it read:
to jamie, from janelle.
She was stunned to read this, it was so out of the blue...as far as she knew.

Front door: locked
Side door: locked
Back door: locked
Window: open
Janelle left the window open just in case Jamie came home, she had spent the last half hour writing her note to Jamie:
Dear Jamie,
I know you hate me...but for reasons I don't know. I wish I had you as a sister right now Jamie, I miss you more than you can imagine. I've kept a huge secret, one I'm not ready to tell. I wish you were here for me Jamie, I'd be there for you. Mom left us, not just Daddy, and I thought at least I'd have you. You won't even look at me, to see the pain in me too. I hurt just like you and i can't stand it alone. I wish things were different, were happy like before. Jamie, you're my only sister, my twin, we should be closer thank close but look at us....we're two different people. I hope you know I've shed tears for you, and I hope you've for me because I miss you Jamie....you'll forever be my Jay-bug and I'll always be Jay-roo.

~Janelle

P.s. i love you...

Janelle re-read it when her hand quit hurting. She was stunned to read this, it was so out of the blue...as far as she knew.
