Car Crash Hearts

I sat on the couch, leaning against Jack.

"Should I just tell Nick?" I asked.

He just shrugged.

"It would be horrible if she told him."

He shrugged again.

"Shrugging isn't helping me." I laughed.

"Sorry."

I stood up, "I'll be right back." I'll just go call Cam.
I walked out of the bus, almost running directly into Val.
Greaaaat.

"Hey, Brooklyn, can I talk to you?"

"Yeah. Sure. Um, about what you saw-"

"It's fine, don't worry."

"Okay."

"Can I ask you something though?" She didn't wait for my response, "Why would you do that to Nick? To cheat on him with your ex? That's kind of slutty, if you ask me."

My face fell. "Did you just call me a slut?"

She smiled. It seemed like one of those, "I'm smiling nicely, but I hate you." kind of smiles.

"Maybe." She shrugged. "But you have to admit-" I didn't stay for the rest of the sentence, I had already made it back onto the bus.

"Jack?" I asked.

"What?" He sat up.

I felt like crying.

"what happened?" He stood up and practically ran over to me.

"You don't think I'm a slut, do you?"

"What? No!"

"I-I need to tell Nick!"

I can't keep lying to him.
It's just not right. He deserves someone nice. Someone that's NOT going to cheat on him.

I ran out of the bus and to A Rocket To The Moon's tour bus. We were all parked and The Maine was doing their soundcheck.

I walked onto the bus. "Nick!"

He jumped up. "Yeah?"

"I need to tell you something."

"So...I guess we're breaking up." Nick said slowly after I explained everything.

"I guess so..I mean, it wouldn't be right for me keep dating you after I...cheated."

"Eh. You like Jack, that's why."

"What?"

"It's really obvious, B."

"Oh..."

"So, I've gotta ask,"

I looked over at him curiously.

"Do you have any cute, single friends?"

We both laughed.

"Yeah, I think I can hook you up."
