Glitter Bug

"Jess, wait up!" Mikey giggled, as he tried to catch me.

"Noooo, just cos' you're to slow!" I laughed along with him.

I stopped laughing when I tripped over a twig.

"Aagghh!" I yelled, and promptly began crying. Soon, small hands were on my face and little fingers wiping away my tears.

"Don't cry Jessica, I'll make it all better," My best friend said, Mikey always made it better.

"I'm sorry, don't be mad Mikey." I wept.

"I'm not mad," he said hugging me.

"Michael James Way, I have been calling you for ten minutes, Come Here!" yelled Donna Way.

"Coming Mom!" he yelled.

"You gotta go?" I asked, tears springing to my eyes again.

"You know what my moms like..." he said sighing.
