I won't let you be turned

I looked at Edward and he shrugged. He walked away. I turned back to him and shook him.

"Look at me! Demetri please!"

His eyes were dull.

I pulled his face so he would look at me.

"Demetri please! Answer me!"

"Amore mio..."

I started shaking him desperately.

"Demetri, please!"

"Amore mio..."

"What does that mean?!"

I saw a piece of paper crumpled in his hand. I reached down and took it.

It read, "It's Tristan. Don't look for Alex. She's mine now. She doesn't want you. If you see her, it's probably am illusion. She'll never come to you again!"

That bastard!

I threw the note into the water and went in front of Demetri.

"Look at me, Demetri! I'm here. I'm not an illusion!"

"Amore mio..."

"And what dooes that even mean?!"

"Amore mio...my..."

I looked at him. What he was about to say must have saddened him. His face crumpled into anguish.

"Please...what does it mean?"

"Amore mio...my...my love..."

Oh my God! He's crying!

I made him look up at me.

"Demetri! Demetri, I'm right here! I'll never leave you for Tristan or anyone else! You know that!"

"Amore mio..."

I started crying. What if he never went back to normal?!

"Demetri!"

I hugged him, ignoring the awkward position I was in. Sitting on his lap.

"I love you, Demetri! Please, come back to me!"

"Amore mio...Alex?"

I backed up and looked at him. He was looking at me.

"Demetri? Are you..."

"Alex!"

He grabbed my face and kissed me. It was filled with passion. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around him. He held me close, not wanting to let go.

"I thought I lost you Alex." He said, stopping the kiss but still holding me.

"I didn't know you were looking for me."

"I looked for you every day. But I got this letter and I thought you left me. Amore mio..."

"That means my love, right?"

He smiled. "Si. Amore mio. Ti amo, cara mia."

"Okay, slow down."

He laughed. I was happy to see his smile. Or just his face in general.

"I said yes, my love. I love you, my darling."

I smiled. "I love you too"

He was about to kiss me again but I stopped him.

"But don't scare me like that! I thought you were dead or something!"

He lightly laughed. "Prometto."

"I hope that means I promise."

He smiled. "Yes. I promise. Now promise me one thing."

"What?"

"That you'll never leave me."

"Um...prometto." I said, remebering how to say I promise in Italian. He smiled.

"Ti amo..."

"I love you too"
