I'm a Runaway

Four; We Share Feelings

I started to tell Shane my story:

"I was nine and my parent's were always fightin physically and verbally; I don't think either of
them loved me since they treated me like fuckin' crap. One day, I was just sick and tired of it
all. I packed my bags and left. I found this here place, and stuff. I had to steal food from alot
of people's homes and resturants or else I would've starved--the animals were too hard to
catch. I've always been...alone or whatever until I met you. The moment I set eyes on you, I
knew that you'd always be there for me. That's really all there is to my, well, story", I said and
It was true.

My life wasn't ever exciting; Shane looked down at my tear-stained face and smiled. He bent
down and kissed me. Ooh, did it feel great!!! I didn't want to let go but had to. "Come on, Ellie.
You can stay at my house", Shane replied. I shook my head. "I-I can't. The police are lookin'
for me and so are my parents. If anyone finds out I'm hangin' with you and your family, I'm
dead meat", I said. "Please!" Shane pleaded. "It'll be fine. Momma is the best and you'll be
taken care of." I though and finally said yes. Shane smiled and picked me up. We walked
to his small cottage which he shared with his momma. Shane opened the door and I peered
in. It smelt like Vanilla and peppermint. "Who's this, Shane?" asked his momma. "This is...
Ellie. She's a friend of mine", Shane explained. "Mhm. A very close friend at that", she muttered and I realized Shane and I were holding hands. We let go and Shane steered me
forward to the upstairs. "Here's the guest room. I hope you like it", Shane said. The bed
had an old quilt and feathery white pillow. There was a pine dresser and bookshelf filled
with poetry and classics.

I was gonna like it here...

Once again, sorry it's short!! I'll make a longer one and I really wanted to end this chapter since it's like 2:00 a.m. in the morning and there's nothing really interesting in it anyways. So, enjoy!!
