Moving On . . . .

Day 8

"She was always the one
I'll repeat it again, the one
No such thing as too young
Red lights flashing on the car we're kissing in
Call me crazy, I've always tried to remind her
That the future's just a few heartbeats away from disaster
I'm afraid that I've thrown it all away

No, at the top of our lungs, there's no
No such thing as too young
Second chances won't leave you alone"

I heard a familiar voice sang, he stopped when I started to open my eyes.

"Good morning sunshine." He greeted me softly.

"Morning." I said as I yawned. "Do you feel better?"

"Yeah, much better."

I suddenly remembered Hogan.

"Shit! I forgot about Hogan!" I said getting up from bed.

"Hogan's down stairs." Joey said.

"No! I left him at home." I said worried as I was putting my chucks on.

"No, I ordered someone to get him from your house. I knew you forgot about him." Joey explained.

"Well, because I was so worried about you. That's why I forgot about Hogan."

"You can see him downstairs on the back yard." Joey said sitting up.

"Well, I'm checking up on him. You stay here." I said as I tied my chucks.

"I don't think so. I'm coming with you." Joey said putting on a robe.

"Yeah right! Your still sick, you stay here." I said opening the door.

"No! Lucila told me, I'm fine already." He whined like a child.

I sighed in defeat and let him go down first.

We went outside to the backyard.

The Wright's backyard was big enough for another house to be built in. In was like a field. Hogan was trying to get on the fountain.

"Hogan!" I called out.

He ran towards me but ended up in Joey's arms.

"So you like Joey better huh?!?" I said a bit upset.

Hogan ignored me.

"So, did you like your breakfast Hogan?" Joey asked.

Hogan barked happily.

"Well, now it's time to take a bath Hogan!" I shouted happily.

Hogan jumped out off Joey's arms, Hogan never liked his baths.

"Hogan! Come here!" I ordered him, but he just kept on running. "Hogan!"

"Is he really gonna take a bath?" Joey asked.

"Yeah, he played on the mud before. He's so dirty, he needs a bath." I said.

"Okay." With that we both chased Hogan, we were having a good time.

When we got Hogan, we gave him a bath. He kept running away every minute. He hated the soap.

After giving Hogan a bath me and Joey took a bath, separately. We were a mess.

Joey told me to go to the second family room. So I went there after I took a bath. When I got there I saw Joey sitting on the stool of the piano.

"Ellie sit over there." He said.

"Okay, Joey what are you doing?" I asked as he puts his fingers on some keys.

He suddenly starts to play a song. It was kissing in cars. I was shocked, I didn't know Joey could play the piano. And the part that he could cook, or the part that he was friends with the used, or the part that he had the voice of a singer. Who was this perfect boy in front of me?

When Joey finished playing, I stood up from where I was sitting and hugged him from the back.

"Did you like it?" Joey asked.

"I did! In fact I loved it." I said hugging him more tightly.

"It's your surprise for today." He smiled.

I let him go he stands in front of me.

"I didn't know you could play the piano!" I shouted at him, happily.

"Well, there are a lot of things you don't know about me." He said.

"Why did you learn the piano?" I asked curiously.

"Well, I took piano because you wanted a husband who could play the piano. You told me that when we were younger. I took lessons since the day you told me that. It's been 7 years, and I still love playing it." He said proud.

I smiled weakly and hugged him again.

"Thank you Joey."
