Summer's over, and Ella James knows there's nothing left for her in New York. So she decides to take Sidney Crosby up on his offer to move to Pittsburgh with him. It's a long way to recovery and Sidney want's to be there every step of the way for Ella. Things are finally turning up for Ella, but instead, she gets the feeling that there's something missing.
Sidney struggles to balance his grueling hockey schedule, being there for Ella as much as he can, and his disapproving friends. As much as he shows Ella that he's in love with her, she can't seem to take the hint and thinks of him as a friend. Or at least he thinks so.
