Suffering Alone In Silence

Frank’s POV

We wake late on Sunday. It’s almost one in the afternoon when we finally get out of bed. We probably spent the hour before making out and grinding against each other, reminiscing on last night and bathing in the glow it gives us. It’s got me delirious.

“I was wondering when I’d be seeing you two,” Donna greets us with a big smile and two hot cups of coffee, as we sit at the table side by side, hands entwined.

“Yeah if it was up to me we’d still be there,” Gerard drawls, giving me a smirk to let me know what he’s really thinking, and yeah he totally knows I’m thinking it too.

After we had our coffee’s I suggested a shower, to which Gerard accepted the invitation in a very tempting fashion. So we took a long shower, all giggles and smiles and plenty of kisses.

Just as we were getting dressed someone knocked on the door. After getting at least some jeans on, Gerard opened the door to Donna.

“Can you guys do me a favour when you’re ready?” She asked.

“Sure, what do you need done?” Gerard replies, knowing it means we are going somewhere.

“I need you to take some stuff to your grandmothers place. I also want Frankie to meet her. I’ve told her all about Frank and she’s very keen to meet him.” She replies smiling.

“Sure, we can do that,” Gerard agrees.

Donna walks away after that and Gerard turns to me, kissing me deeply for a moment, before smiling at me.

“You’re gonna love my grandma, and I just know she’s gonna love you.” He replies, kissing my lips once more.

“Are you sure about that? I’m not sure what mom’s told her about me.” I voice my concern.

Gerard pauses and looks at me like a goldfish out of water.

“What?” I ask incredulously.

“You just said mom,” He whispers after another moment of shock.

I stand there and realise what I had said, my hands come to my mouth.

“No! Baby that’s a good thing. I am so happy for you. I’m glad she’s mom to you now. She’s going to be so excited. C’mon we have to tell her!” He carries on.

“When we are finished getting ready,” I compromise.

“Okay,” Gerard agrees.

So we finish getting ready, me stealing one of Gerard’s shirts, cuz it’s my favourite shirt and it’s really baggy.

We wonder up to the living room to find both Mikey and mom sitting there chatting.

“Are you guys going now?” She asks, noticing us.

“Yeah mom, where’s the stuff at?” I ask.

Everyone goes quiet for a moment, before mom gets up and hugs me ever so tightly.

“I’ve been wondering when it would come. It’s good to know you see me as your mom. I love you so much sweetie.” She whispers to me.

Mikey gets up and hugs me.

“Welcome home bro, but no matter what you’re still my best friend.” He smiles at me.

“Thanks Mikey. Do you wanna play video games when we get back?” I ask.

“Damn straight!” He replies, over enthusiastically.

We all laugh at Mikey’s random outburst and Gerard announces that we are leaving.

Donna hands him the keys and some food for Elena and tells Gerard to drive safe.

“We will, geez mom it’s not I’m driving to New York or anything,” He replies, but kisses her cheek anyway.

“Ciao mom, see you later,” I say as we walk out of the house, closing the door behind me.
