Fog

One of One

She gripped the handlebars of her bike. Strands of her hair danced on the slight breeze, and the crisp air caressed her...

Almost like he used to, she thought.

She looked to the tops of the trees and found they were hidden, buried blindly in the thick fog.

Fog, her mind whispered. Fog...

She inhaled deeply, letting the crisp autumn air fill her lungs as she let her cares go.

No more... No more...

Her gaze returned to the path in front of her. The fog filled her view. She could see five, maybe seven trees in front of her. She smiled.

She threw her leg over her bike and pedaled down the path, into the unknown.
