Savannah is 16 years old. Summer comes along and she's bored. She's lived in Orlando, Florida all her life. She knows almost everyone and everyone knows her. Although she is known, she hates Orlando and all the fake tan people living in her area (with the exception of a few). She keeps to herself and doesn't really get involved with other people. But all that changes when she meets Jose.

Jose is 17 years old, a senior in high school. Although he's supposed to graduate this year, his parents are forced to move from North Carolina to Florida. Jose's been to Florida before and absolutely loves it, but he doesn't want to live there! He's forced to abandon his old friends and break up with his girlfriend. He already has a few friends down at Florida, but none of them are as interesting as his old friends. Then, he meets Savannah.
