We've Escaped

Bells

I sighed and just stared down at my phone, always wanted to be together, I know I never exactly told them I was in fact going, but I don’t think I’d be exactly needed there, there was just so much for me to do going to meet up with them just didn’t work in. Sophie needed me now, going through a new-tooth tantrum constantly, but Dad had drunken any alcohol we had in this house, and I couldn’t go buy some, poor baby would have to rough it out.

Throwing my phone to the side I went to the sink before pulling out a small hand towel and getting it wet with luke-warm water before returning to the nursery where Sophie was screaming her lungs out. I eased the towel toward her and soon she had clamped out and was busy gnawing on it, her cries dying down. With her covered I walked back to my room, sitting down and pulling out a notebook that I had been filling out with plans and ideas and expenses so far for the “trip”, it hadn’t crossed my mind before how much work this would be if we wanted to do it the smart way, it was going to be a LONG night.
