Forever They Will Be Secrets To Me

I found out an old friend moved back from Texas. We were friends in 1st grade. Now we've grown into high school. I want to talk to him again, but I can't find what words to say. He's different, and I'm different. We're not like our careless selves anymore. How can I find the right words to talk to someone I know, yet have not seen him for nearly 10 years? I want to be friends with him again, but I'm afraid he wouldn't care because I know he longs for his friends from Texas.
I miss how I always teased him during our tag games. Why can't we be just like how we were in 1st grade?
