She's a Killer.

13. when she falls, he catches her.

Monday Night Raw 6/7/10

"Try to have a good time on commentary, baby," Randy murmured into her ear as they sat in his dressing room, Chloe curled into his chest.

"I can't, not while I know Adam's going to be taking a chair to your shoulder tonight," She replied, giving him an upset look.

His shoulder had been dislocated, for real, and was still causing him pain. Even if he and Adam were just acting, it wouldn't take much to seriously hurt him again. That and she had absolutely no interest in being a guest commentator for whatever the divas match was. It wasn't as if she'd have the opportunity to go at the diva's title any time in the near future anyway.

"I've got to go, babe," Randy chuckled, seeing her stubborn expression, "The shows about to start and I have to interrupt Teddy and Bret."

"Whatever," She pouted, flicking her hair over her shoulder.

Randy laughed lightly, pressing a kiss against the crown of her head before leaving. An annoyed sigh fell from Chloe's lips and she forced herself to her feet, walking over to her bag next to the couch. She had just gotten changed and was slipping one of Randy's hats on her head when a knock came at the door, startling her slightly.

"What?" She called, her voice slightly hoarse from a cold she'd been feeling coming on for the past few days.

"Bret needs to see you, Ms. Batista," A stage hand called through the door, obviously not offended she hadn't opened it.

"Alright, be there in a second," Chloe rubbed her gloved hand over her throat and quickly stuffed a handful of cough drops into her bra before leaving her and Randy's private dressing room.

Rocio, who was debuting on RAW tonight, was just walking out of Bret's office when she saw Chloe, her eyes widening slightly. The worried, slightly uncomfortable look on the newest Diva's face made the younger frown and she quickly walked over to her, pulling her aside for a moment.

"What's going on, Chio?"

"Chloe, I've gotta warn you," She said quickly, "There's another new diva. Do you remember when Mickie James and Trish Stratus had that thing? Mickie was being all stalker crazy in love with Trish?"

"Yeah, of course," Chloe nodded her head, smoothing the older female's hair back slightly, "Chio, what's the matter, you look like you're about to faint."

"This new diva is fucking psycho, Chlo'," Rocio stated, pulling her hands on Chloe's shoulders, "The whole time I was in there with her and Bret, all she was doing was talking about you. What a great person you are, how cool you are, how she wants to be just like you. Then she started getting all up on me when I told her that yeah, you were really awesome. Acting like you were her girlfriend and I was hitting on you or something. Fuck, it's weird Chloe."

"It'll be fine," Chloe stated, trying to calm her friend down, "I'm sure it's nothing like the Mickie-Trish plot a few years ago. She's probably just a fan, it's okay."

"I don't know," Rocio shook her head, "There's something up with her, dude."

"I'll watch my back, okay?" The dark haired brunette smiled, "It's going to be fine."

Rocio sighed, realizing that Chloe just wasn't getting it, "Alright, whatever you say Chlo'. I got your back though, alright? Tell me if something's going down."

"I will, now I've gotta get in there, Bret wanted me for something, I'll see you out by the ring later, alright?"

The slightly taller female nodded and they hugged before going their separate ways. Chloe knocked on the door that led to Bret's office, stepping in when she got the okay. A small framed female who vaguely reminded her of a diva she knew a couple of years ago, Maria, sat in one of the love seats placed in the office. Almost instantly, Chloe began to pick up on what Rocio was talking about; the girl just gave off weird vibes.

"What's up, Bret?" She questioned, flipping her loosely curled hair over her shoulder, "Aren't you supposed to be out in the ring?"

"Finished just a few minutes ago actually," Bret grinned, "Randy was talking with Adam about their match later which is probably why he didn't come back."

"That reminds me Bret," Chloe gave him a cross look, "What the Hell were you thinking? Randy is fucking injured!"

"Oh I should've seen this coming," The older man rolled his eyes, "Randy's okay with it, why aren't you?"

"Because Randy's a big ego'd idiot who doesn't realize how hurt he could get! I'm not okay with this because I care about his damn well being!"

"We've gotta get you some anger management courses going on," Bret rolled his eyes, "You remind me more and more of your brother every day. Now, why I called you in here, Chloe, meet Tanya Drake, she's a new diva."

"No really, I would've never guessed," Chloe rolled her eyes sarcastically before reaching into her shirt and pulling a cough drop from her bra.

"Chloe," Her attention was pulled to Tanya, "I'm like, your number one fan! Even when you were a serious heel back in your first year. Seriously, you're so amazing."

Chloe sent her a fleeting look, popping the cough drop into her mouth, "Thanks hun. Not that I don't appreciate the private introduction, but what's this about B?"

"I want to put you in a story line with Tanya," Bret stated, "As a mentor type deal."

Chloe tossed her trash into the bin near his desk, shaking her head, "Absolutely not. That's completely out of my character. Anyways, I've been talking to Vince lately and I'm turning full out heel again soon. I had a similar conversation with him on the phone last night and he wants me to inadvertently help Rocio out, but—"

"That's what she was just in here for," Bret stated, "We sorted it all out, so instead of you mentoring Rocio, Gail's going to mentor her instead and she's going to be a face, while you mentor Tanya and she's going to be a heel."

"I wasn't going to mentor Rocio, anyway, like I was going to say before you interrupted me," Chloe stood up, "That isn't the Falcon's character and I'm already apart of a story line with Randy."

"Chloe, hear me out, I have a good story line here—"

"No, Bret," She said, her tone suddenly getting cross, "I'm not putting up with this either. If I'm not allowed to fight the other Diva's, I'm not mentoring one. End of discussion."

She then turned and abruptly walked out, slamming the door to his office. The completely heart broken look on Tanya's face didn't go unnoticed either.
***
"You were right, Chio," Chloe stated as the majority of the diva's stood in the guerrilla area, "I don't like the new girl."

"I told you, there's something up with her!" Rocio exclaimed, looking around quickly to make sure Tanya wasn't around.

"Who?" Aiden questioned, as all of the diva's began circling around.

"There's another new diva," Rocio stated, "She's totally obsessed with Chloe. Seriously, every time I think of her, I remember Mickie J's psycho days, except this isn't a story line."

"Ms. Batista, you're set to go down in two," A stage hand stated.

Chloe just sent him a nod before going back to the girls, "Bret's trying to push her onto me too, which isn't helping."

"What do you mean?" Kelly Kelly asked with a frown.

"He wanted me to mentor her," She groaned, rolling her shoulders, "Like I'm actually going to be a mentor. That would completely fuck up my characters mojo, especially since I'm going heel again soon."

"I love your earrings, Chloe!" Gail suddenly said, her tone loud as she discretely nodded behind the younger Diva.

Without looking back, she knew Gail was trying to warn her that Tanya was now behind her, "Thanks! I actually bought them forever ago, when I was still in high school."

"Oh wow, so old," Chio rolled her eyes playfully.

"Hi everybody!" Chloe couldn't help but shiver at the sound of Tanya's voice, "I'm Tanya Drake, a new diva here!"

"Nice to meet you, Tanya," Kelly gave her a tight lipped smile.

"Ms. Batista, you're music will start in ten seconds!"

"It can wait," Randy's voice suddenly boomed in the guerrilla area, causing the stage hand to back up with fright.

"Randy, what are you thinking?" Chloe demanded, her hands planting on her hips as she heard King and Cole stalling outside.

"That I need to lecture you not to get involved with this match, because you're getting sick and you've been complaining about your back lately," He stated with a cocky tone.

"I swear Orton," She grumbled, rolling her eyes in annoyance as a scowl crossed her features, "You really rub me the wrong way sometimes."

It was only after she said it that she realized she used bad terminology, as a smirk crossed his features. Before she could say anything, Maryse was already on the defensive, slapping him upside the head. Randy jerked away, holding his head.

"Owh, what the Hell Mar?"

"Get your head out of the gutter, kiss your girlfriend, and let us get on with the show, please," She ordered in a strict tone, making Chloe laugh.

Randy planted a hard kiss on her lips and she rolled her eyes before pulling back and motioning for them to start her music. One of the guys flipped a switch and her theme song began spilling out of the speakers. The girls laughed as Randy smacked her ass, causing her to jump and squeal, just before she walked out onto the ramp.

Chloe called good luck to everyone before walking over to the curtain, putting on a straight face as her music began to play. King had finally returned to ringside and everyone was waiting to see what the divas match was going to be. They definitely weren't expecting the Falcon's music to start blasting.

Just get the Hell away from me. Sorry, I'm a bitch, can't ever work through it. Let's take the easy way out. One last time and one good story. Scream hallelujah, scream hallelujah. Once for the time you never came. One more time and one for history. Scream hallelujah, scream hallelujah. There's just no easy way out.

"I suppose we forgot to mention," Cole grinned, "During this Diva's match, we'll be joined on commentary by Chloe The Falcon Batista."

"I'm so excited!" King exclaimed.

"Do you ever get to talk to Chloe backstage?"

"Once. She asked me where Layla and Michelle McCool were hiding."

Chloe stopped at the bottom of the ramp and glared at the ring, knowing she was forbidden to get inside of it tonight. As she passed, she made sure to kick the steel steps with enough force to dislodge the top piece. Everyone screamed loudly at her display of anger, cheering her on. It took a lot to keep the grin off her face; they'd hate her in a few weeks time, when she turned heel.

King and Cole stood as she walked towards the table, the former pulling out one of the nice chairs set up for her. She shook both their hands with a loose grip and sat down, slipping the headset over her ears.

"Thanks for joining us, Chloe," Cole said with a smile.

"My pleasure," She drawled, her eyes locked on the divas who'd come to stand at the top of the ramp.

She could feel Tanya's eyes burning holes in her, but made a point not to look at the shorter female. As part of character, she made sure her eyes were on Michelle and Layla, a stony glare turning her brown eyes to ice.

"So, Chloe, who do you think is the favourite to win this tonight?" King asked as all of the divas ran down the ramp and slipped into the ring for a battle royale.

Chloe pursed her lips to the side in thought, "Maryse or one of LayCool."

"Wow, I'm surprised. We were all under the impression you didn't like LayCool."

"I do not like or dislike anyone but my brother," She hissed, glaring at him, "One of them will take it because they're cut throat with no morals."

"Speaking of your brother, we haven't gotten your opinion on his... retirement," Cole questioned as the rules were gone over in the ring.

"I think it was necessary," Chloe stated with a shrug, "But he did it in such a way that was embarrassing, immature, and disgraceful to the Batista name."

"And now this Diva's Battle Royale is about to begin," King stated, a giddy tone in his voice.

"So, this is the debut of three divas," Cole informed, holding up three fingers.

Chloe had to hide her amusement as the two men began to narrate. It wasn't until Rocio through Rosa over the top rope that they really seemed to notice the three new divas. She once again had to hide her emotion, as pride filled her chest when Rocio and Aiden both took to flying off the top rope in order to slam LayCool into the mat. It was a move she'd taught them both during their time between shows.

"What do you know about our newest divas, Chloe?" Cole questioned.

Chloe took a moment to make sure her voice was composed, her eyebrow raised, "Their names?"

Both men started to laugh, getting back to their commentary and occasionally asking her opinions. She made sure to keep her expressions and tone neutral, even when Aiden and Rocio got sent through the ropes. She had to clench her teeth to keep from running to Aiden's side when the slightly older female grabbed her shoulder, closing her eyes tightly. Chloe had grown attached to the two, and even though she was younger than both, she felt the overwhelming need to protect them.

"Ouch, there goes Eve. Now it's down to Maryse and Jillian."

"It looks like Jillian wants to declare them co-winners."

"That's not happening. Not with Maryse's personality,"
Chloe stated knowingly.

It wasn't thirty seconds later that Maryse had kicked Jillian in the stomach and sent her flying through the ropes. The crowd errupted with boos, as they still weren't to fond of the self-centered blonde Canadian. Chloe kept a smile off her face, if only they knew she was extremely sweet off camera.

"Thanks for joining us, Chloe," Cole smiled, shaking her hand again.

"No problem," She stated, standing and pulling the head set off before shaking King's hand as well, "Please excuse me."

Chloe quickly found her way backstage, coughing like Hell the entire time. She'd felt the cold coming on over the weekend and was crossing her fingers it would just go away if she drank enough orange juice and took to devouring cough drops like candy. It seemed to be working too, until she stayed up all night taking care of Randy, since he'd been messing around in the pool and royally hurt his shoulder. That one sleepless night seemed to spell her demise.

"Hey baby," Randy smiled, coming up behind her and wrapping his good arm around her shoulder.

"Don't 'hey baby' me," Chloe glared at him slightly, "I'm still mad at you."

He pulled her back against the wall, ignoring her whiny protests and nuzzled his nose into her hair lightly, making her sigh. It was rare that Randy showed his soft side in public, and when he did, she couldn't help but forgive him. He got all cute and affectionate, his personality flipping from the regular brutish, caveman style he employed. She felt his lips gently graze over the back of her neck and a light, muttered apology.

"Alright, I forgive you," She murmured back, turning to wrap her arms around his shoulders, careful of his injury, "I'm just worried. You hurt your shoulder last night in the pool, now you're going out to fight? I just don't want you to get hurt."

His breath caressed over her neck, making her shiver lightly, "It'll be okay, Chlo'. Me and Adam are going to be careful, I promise. And then, once the tapings over we'll head over to a club and hang out with everyone, so you can relax and stop stressing."

Chloe sighed and nodded, leaning her head on his good shoulder while he kept his grip around her waist, "Alright... I love you Randy."

She felt him stiffen under her and closed her eyes tightly, hoping it was just a surprised tense and not a regecting tense. When she felt his lips on her forehead, she knew she was in the clear. A bright pink, extremely uncharacteristic blush painted her cheeks.

"I love you too, Chloe."

outfit.
A nice, long chapter since I've been neglecting this(: Well, actually, I haven't been neglecting it, I'm actually writing it constantly, I just have a tendency to write future chapters before the present ones. Oops. I can't help it, since I base a lot of the chapters off of what happens in the episodes! (:
Anyway, there's going to be a lot of smut in this story. I'm just telling you now.
Oh, and encase anyone is confused, I skipped two shows (the one directly after Over the Limit and the one following) and went straight to the viewers choice night, since I want a virtual shot at those rookies. (;
Trust me, there will be fictional retribution in their non-existent future. mwaha.
