Ville looked over at the vibrating cell phone that was sitting at the wooden table of the bar he had decided to join his friends at before heading home to pack for his two day trip to Pori; looking around the bar, he saw Linde talking to the bartender and figured he probably wasn’t coming back any time soon. Grabbing the phone, he saw Soya’s name and picture flash on the caller ID, not helping the grin that spread on his face he answered.

“Good evening Soya.” He greeted.

“V-Ville.” She stuttered, only for a deep laughter to come over the speaker that could only belong to Josef. “Where’s Linde?”

“Well! I’m hurt!” Ville teased. “I haven’t talked to you in nearly two days and this is how you treat me!”

“No!” Soya said quickly. “No! That’s not it, I love talking to you Ville, I just…I really need to talk to Linde.”

“He’s at the bar, I’ll go grab him.” Ville said standing from his place at the booth. “So what’s so important that you have to talk to Linde?”

“Just…things.” Soya said evasively.

Ville raised an eyebrow. “Well, that was informative.” He chuckled, tapping Linde’s shoulder. “Here he is.”

“Thank you!” Soya said quickly as Ville passed Linde his phone.

“It’s Soya.”

“Oh?” Linde frowned, only to see the date on his phone. “Oh!” he said, a grin splitting his face as he put the phone to his ear. “So?!” It was quiet as Soya spoke to Linde, Ville watched as Linde nodded his head to whatever Soya told him, before saying. “No, no, it’s perfect! I’ll definitely…” he looked at Ville hesitating before saying. “Pick up the package at seven. No, no Soya, thank you!” Linde laughed. “Yes, I love you too, yes I’ll be sure to tell Ville, though I bet he understands. No, no of course, okay, bye.” Linde grinned hanging up the phone, before looking at Ville. “She said she wished she could talk to you longer, but she was in a rush.”

“At one in the morning?” Ville asked in surprise.

“Yes.” Linde nodded. “You know, just because the girl doesn’t party doesn’t mean she has a set bedtime; she and Josef were out and about meeting friends.”

“Well I know that.” Ville said. “So she was out?”

Linde nodded, nodding his head at the bartender before starting out of the bar with Ville behind him. “Yeah, she was out with Josef and his siblings, catching up. Josef’s brothers and sisters all work during the weekdays, so it was the first time they’d all been able to get together.” Linde explained, dialing his phone for a cab as he and Ville sat down on a bench to wait. Linde told the woman on the other end where they were before hanging up and stuffing his phone in his pocket.

“She’s been in Prague nearly two weeks.” Ville sighed.

“Still wondering if she’s going to make it here?” Linde asked, not helping the smirk that formed on his lips. He loved having this type of information, though part of him did wish he could share it, as he hated seeing one of his best friends so down about not being able to see Soya.

“I’m hoping.” Ville admitted.

“It’ll happen.” Linde said. “Even if we have to drag her here.”

“Good to know you’re on board.” Ville laughed, standing when he saw the cab pull up in front of them. They both slid in, giving Linde’s address first before settling back on the seats.

“We have a phone interview in the morning, by the way. Seppo let me know earlier.” Ville said to Linde.

Linde looked over at Ville. “What time?”

“Seven, we can do it from the hotel room.” Ville nodded.

Linde looked out the window, before turning back to Ville. “Do I need to be there?”

Ville frowned at him. “Since when do you not want to do an interview?”

“It’s not that I don’t want to do it.” Linde hedged. “I just…Soya’s sending us something and I need to go pick it up.”

Ville laughed. “What’s she sending us this time?”

“Just, something I asked for.” Linde said. “Can’t I sit this one out?”

“They asked for you.” Ville shrugged. “Why can’t you just send one of the others?”

Linde sighed, but nodded. “Fine, I’ll send Mige.”

“All right.”

“But if things get fucked up, you’re to blame.” Linde said quickly looking at Ville.

Ville nodded slowly. “All right, I’ll take the blame.”

“Good.” Linde nodded, pulling out his phone and sending Soya a quick text, letting her know he wouldn’t be able to pick her up, but Mige would be at the Pori Airport, gate 12, at exactly 7 am to get her. Now to tell Mige without Ville finding out, Linde sighed; after this, he was done keeping secrets for Soya, they were way to stressful.

Mige looked at Linde as they made sure Ville was in his room, before stopping midway in the hall to talk. “So I have to pick her up at seven?”

“Yes, so drop your stuff off in your room and go. There’s a cab waiting downstairs for you.”

“After I get her here, do I take her to Ville’s room?” Mige asked

“Take who to Ville’s room?” A female voice asked, causing both Linde and Mige to jump as they looked down the hall, eyes widening when they saw the dark brown eyes of Rosalind Rivera staring back at them.

“What in the world are you doing here?” Linde asked, bringing her into a hug.

“Picking up my daughter.” Rosalind said with a roll of her eyes, as she went and hugged Mige. “So who are you taking to Ville’s room?”

“No one.” Linde said quickly, as her dark eyes scanned them with a raised eyebrow.

“Really?” She said, glaring at Linde. “Because you will never believe what my daughter told me when I saw her last night.”

“What did Impi say?” Mige asked.

“That she saw her Tio Ville and her Tia Soya at the same time.” Rosalind said, sending her glare to Mige. “Now, I haven’t seen Soya in nearly three years, so how is it that my daughter saw both of them in the three months she was on the road?”

“Your daughters a liar?” Mige asked hesitantly, causing Rosalind to smack his arm.

“Mi hija no es una mentiosa!” Rosalind glared.(My daughter is not a liar!)

Linde rolled his eyes. “Yes, Impi saw them both at the same time.”

“So Soya and Ville met?” Rosalind asked, excitement filling her voice

“Yeah, see, about that…” Linde smirked. “We’ve always known Soya.”

“We just never put the pieces together, that your best friend, who was a ballet dancer at Julliard, was our best friend that left Finland thirteen years ago.” Mige said. “So, Ville and Soya already knew each other.”

“And reconnected back in May.” Linde finished.

Rosalind looked at both of them with wide eyes, before smacking both of their arms. “No puedo creer que no me dijeron!!”(I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!!)

“English Rosalind!” Linde reminded her, knowing that when Rosalind got pissed she would revert back to Spanish, forgetting that none of her Finnish friends could understand her.

“Why wouldn’t anyone call me about this? I’ve been trying for years to get both of them together!” Rosalind said, still glaring.

“Do you know how hard it is to get a hold of you?” Linde asked.

“It’s called a phone, try it.” Rosalind snapped, about to start in on Mige, when a door opened causing them all to freeze, when Ville’s voice sounded through the hall.

“Linde, you coming?” Ville asked

“Yeah, give me a minute.”

“Sure. Hey Rosalind!” Ville grinned.

“I’m mad at you too!” Rosalind said, glaring at him and crossing her arms over her chest.

“What did I do?” Ville asked amused with the brunette. “Is it because I haven’t called?”

“Among other things.” She hedged.

“Ville lets go, leave Rosalind to talk to herself.” Linde said rolling his eyes.

“Don’t think I won’t find out what you’re up to Linde!” Rosalind yelled at him as Linde pushed Ville into the room and turned to Mige, ignoring the Spanish drummer.

“Mige, go! You’re already running late.”

Mige looked down at his watch with a curse, opening the door to the room he would share with Linde and throwing his luggage in, before going back to the elevator.

“Where are you going?” Rosalind asked.

Mige rolled his eyes. “As if you haven’t already figured it out.”

Rosalind grinned. “Then take me with you. I haven’t seen Soya in nearly three years, I miss her.” Rosalind whined.

“You can’t come with me Rose.” Mige said quickly as he stepped onto the elevator. “I have to go.”

“Why can’t I come with you?” Rosalind asked, stopping the door from closing as she stared at her friend.

“Because Soya should see Ville before she sees you.” Mige said, trying to move her hand away from the door. “Come on, let go now.”

“I don’t like being told ‘no’.” Rosalind warned.

Mige knew that with the mischievous glint that was currently shining in Rosalind’s eyes, he should have worried, but the fact that he was already running late to pick up Soya had him prying Rosalind’s fingers off the door.

“Ikävää.”(Too bad) He smirked, giving her a shrug just as the door closed on the image of Rosalind stomping her foot, much like Impi would do when she didn’t get what she wanted.

Soya gave a sigh of relief as she exited the plane and started down the terminal towards her gate. She’d been on the flight for the last five hours and had been much to excited to even pull out her notebooks to sketch. She’d put in her earphones and had stared out of her window for the five hours, her leg bouncing nervously as she flew over the Baltic Sea. After thirteen years, she was home and even before landing she could feel the tension slide off her and a sense of calm set in.

Shouldering her carry-on, she got behind an older gentleman who was slowly making his way out of the terminal. She bit her lip in impatience and rationalized that she’d waited nearly eight years to come home, she could wait another five minutes to officially step foot in her home country. Though the minute the aisle became wide enough, Soya felt a pang of guilt as she side stepped the man and nearly ran out of the terminal, dropping her bag when she caught sight of Mige grinning at her.

“Soya!” Mige yelled as Soya ran to him, flinging herself in his arms, causing him to laugh and swing her up.

“Oh! I missed you so much!” She muttered into his cheek.

“We’ve missed you just as much.” Mige murmured back hugging her a bit tighter. “How does it feel to be home?” he asked as he dropped her carefully back onto the ground.

“I haven’t even set foot on the actual concrete and it already feels amazing. Oh! My bag.” Soya said, looking around the gate for it, wondering where she’d dropped it.

“I see it.” Mige laughed. “I’ll grab it.” He went over to where she had dropped the carry-on bag, shouldering it, before leading her towards luggage claim, only to smirk when he saw her shirt. “Nice shirt.”

Soya frowned then looked down at her shirt, causing her to laugh. She was wearing her usual black yoga pants and grey Nikes that she usually traveled in, but her shirt was a tan t-shirt with a heart that read ‘heartbreaker’.

“Josef got it for me the other day when we went shopping; he got a kick out of it and said it reminded him of your song. When I pointed out it was the wrong name, he said he didn’t care and was getting it for me anyway. I liked it though.”

“Very you.” Mige teased as they reached the luggage carousel. “So which one’s yours?”

“The big one.” Soya admitted with a blush, as she pointed to the black suitcase that was ten times bigger than a normal suitcase.

“Jesus, Soya.” Mige teased, dropping her carry-on on the ground as he reached for her suitcase. “Are you planning on moving here?”

“Something like that.” Soya laughed as she helped him pull the suitcase off, before grabbing her lighter bag and following him out as he pulled the suitcase. “Linde said he had an interview?”

Mige nodded, pushing lightly at the small of her back and leading her towards the taxi he had waiting. “He did, it’s him and Ville.”

“Do you know how long it’ll last?” Soya asked, helping Mige again as the driver opened the trunk of the car and they pushed her suitcase in.

Mige shrugged. “It could last five minutes, could last an hour, why? Eager to see Ville?” he teased, throwing her second bag into the back as well before closing the trunk.

“That too.” Soya laughed not bothering to hide the fact that she was very eager to see him. “But I want to shower, I didn’t bother taking one before I got on the plane and I feel gross.”

“We’ll get you a shower.” Mige promised, letting her into the cab first, before following her in and telling the cab driver the hotel’s name, before closing the door. “And imagine Ville’s surprise to find you in his bathroom, I think that’ll be the best way to greet him.”

“Oh shut up.” Soya laughed.

“Oh! Rosalind’s also in Pori.” Mige told her.

“Is she!?” Soya asked, excited as she thought of her best friend, turning in her seat to look at Mige better. “Why is she here?”

“She says to pick up Impi. I think she just missed both Impi and Jyrki and I think their tour is done.”

“No, she has three more shows, but they’re all in Spain and not until November I think.”

Mige nodded, “How was Prague?”

“Wonderful!” Soya laughed. “I spent most of my time with Josef and we played tourist a bit. Josef promised the pictures he took would be up later this week. But I spent some time with his brothers, sisters, their families and with his parents.”

Mige looked at her and sighed. “Can I say something?”

“Of course!” Soya nodded, tilting her head curious as to why Mige looked so serious.

“I’m happy you’re home. Really, we all are, but you know that with you coming home…” Mige sighed. “I just don’t want…” he ran a hand through his hair. “Ville likes you a lot Soya.”

Soya smiled and nodded. “I know, and I like him.”

“I just…the relationship you have with Josef…and…”

Soya shook her head, grasping what Mige was trying to tell her. “I thank you for your concern Mige, but everything has been worked out.”

“Worked out?” Mige asked slowly.

Soya smiled. “The relationship I had with Josef has always been based on comfort Mige; I had no interest in dating in New York and Josef wanted to live his life without his parents finding out he was gay. His parents know now and I have an interest in dating.”

Mige grinned. “Just this sudden interest huh?”

“Very sudden, it must be the Finnish air.” She laughed.

Mige wrapped his arm around her, kissing the top of her head. It was amazing how much happier he saw Soya in the twenty minutes she’d been in Pori, her grey eyes were brighter and he could see her crawling out of her shell and finding comfort in her home country already.

“Must be.” Mige agreed as he let her go and watched as she looked out the window, the grin she sent him causing him to grin as well. Ten minutes later they were pulling Soya’s suitcase back out of the cab and towards the elevator.

“You can shower in our room.” Mige said as he pulled Soya’s suitcase down the hall and towards his room. “I’ll text Linde and let him know to bring Ville over.” Mige promised as he propped her suitcase against the wall and patted his pockets for his key card. At Soya’s lack of response, Mige chuckled. “I know you’re nervous Soya, but Ville hasn’t changed in the past few months, you shouldn’t…” Mige frowned when he turned around and found the hallway empty. “Soya?”

Linde listened absently to the interviewer’s voice that was coming out from the speaker of the hotel phone, as he checked his latest text message from Mige, saying he had Soya and they were on their way to the hotel. While Linde felt guilty for tuning out during the interview, he couldn’t help but be more focused on Soya’s whereabouts than in the questions being asked, though the question that was being voiced caused him to look up in anticipation.

“So Ville, I know you get this a lot, but fans do like to know, are you seeing anyone?”

Ville chuckled, and ran a hand through his hair, looking at Linde, who shrugged. At this point Linde knew that whether Soya and Ville had voiced it, they were together. Now what would Ville’s response be about the subject, especially when Ville tended to be private in his romantic life.

“Uh…” Ville laughed again. “Sort of.” He admitted, causing Linde to sit up straight. “I want to start seeing someone in particular.” He continued. “But I have yet to sit down and talk to her about it, I’m hoping once this tour ends I’ll be able to have that conversation with her.”

“Is there a name to this mystery woman?” The interviewer asked with a laugh

“Yes, but I’m not quite ready to share it.” Ville said.

“And does she feel the same way?”

Ville was about to speak, only for Linde to interrupt. “She does.”

“Can I quote you on that Linde?” He laughed.

Linde laughed. “I assure you, she feels the same way.”

“Wonderful, well I think that’s it, thank you Linde and Ville for taking time to talk to me today.”

Ville nodded, “Our pleasure.” He said before hanging up the phone and turning to Linde. “Why would you-”

Linde put up his hand to stop Ville as he read the newest text for Mige. “What the fuck?” he muttered before turning to Ville. “Stay here, I’ll be right back” he said before standing up and ignoring his friend’s surprised expression as he left the room, only to see Mige waiting at the door. “What do you mean you lost her?!” he asked closing the door behind him.

“I don’t know how I fucking lost her, I just did!” Mige said. “She was right behind me the entire time, and just as I was opening the door to let her in, I turned around and she was fucking gone.”

Linde was about to respond, only for both of them to turn towards the end of the hall when they heard female squeals coming from the room. “Rosalind” Linde glared, going towards Rosalind’s room and banging on the door.

“Que?!” Rosalind asked through the door. (What?!)

“Give her back!” Linde demanded. The door opened to reveal Rosalind in a one of her many peasant skirts, this one being bright in color with its swirls of pinks, yellows and oranges, along with a bright yellow draped silk top that cinched at her waist. Her hair was high in a ponytail, while her brown eyes were narrowed on him.

“She’s not a toy Linde.”

“Exactly!” Linde said, “Give her back!”

Soya snorted from behind Rosalind. “You’re just as bad at sharing as Ville is, Linde.” Soya teased. “I’m fine here; Rosalind told me that Ville has interviews all day until you go on stage, so I’m going to spend time with Rosalind and Impi.”

“But he-” Mige was cut off when Rosalind turned and spoke to Soya.

“Soya, why don’t you go take that shower you wanted, get the nasty plane smell off of you, dress up pretty for Ville while I talk to the boys.”

Soya grinned. “All right, but let me hug Linde first.”

Rosalind hesitated but nodded. “Fine, but quickly.”

Soya laughed at Rosalind’s insistence, but went and hugged Linde tightly, kissing his cheek. Linde, so dumbfounded by the situation, hugged her back, only regaining use of his tongue once Soya had pulled away and started walking back into the room. “I’ll see you later Linde, I promise.” She laughed, before going deeper into the room.

“What the fuck just happened?” Linde muttered, staring at Rosalind.

Rosalind smirked at him. “I told you I’d find out what you were up to,”’ she looked at Mige. “And I told you I didn’t like to be told ‘no’”

Linde turned to Mige in shock. “You told her ‘no’! Have you learned nothing from last time?!”

“Soya is mine now, she’ll see Ville when I’m good and ready to let Ville see her. Also take this as a warning that if Ville finds out she’s here before I’m good and ready for it there will be major hell to pay.” She looked them up and down before chuckling to herself. “Idiotas.”

Mige and Linde stared at the closed door in shock, before Mige spoke up. “I don’t know much Spanish, but I’m pretty sure that meant ‘idiots’.”

Linde shook his head, not sure whether to be annoyed about their hard work being flushed down the toilet, or amused that Rosalind had somehow found a way of getting Ville and Soya to meet on her own terms. All he knew for sure was that it was going to be a long ass day.
