5 years ago, Kagome's twin sister Sotoka left for a private school for training priests and priestesses of the sort. Kagome, Kikyo's incarnation was jealous of her sister Sotoka (the incarnartion of a very powerful half demon priestess) and all their lives dispised her for her abilities and being the favorite child.
When Kagome stumbled across the feudal era she hoped and prayed that should her sister ever come home she'd never find out about it, or worse, be able to cross dimensions also. Unfortunately for Kagome, Sotoka is jsut that good.
