It Was All Sympathy and Simple Words of Nothingness

Fourteen.

"Josie, wake up!" Lydia yelled at me, smacking my ass.

"What the fuck, Lyd?" I asked and swatted her away.

"You have a whining British boy in your kitchen and your phone is going off," she said and handed the phone to me. "Its mom and dad."

I groaned, but answered. "Hello?"

"Josie! How are you?" My mom smiled into the phone.

"I'm fine, ma. How're you?" I asked and sat up, rubbing my neck.

"Me and your pa are doing fine. We wanted to come see you and Lydia in a few weeks," she said.

"What dates?" I asked.

"The eigteenth through the twenty-second," she said.

"And today is?" I asked.

"Josie! I'm fuckin' hungry! Come make me food!" Ben yelled like a little kid.

"Who was that?" My mom asked, laughing.

"My neighbor's band mate," I grumbled.

"You're not getting into trouble, are you?" She demanded.

"No, ma. He's just a lazy piece of shit," I laughed and walked into the kitchen.

"Okay, then. Where's the girls?" She asked.

"Next door. But, call me later ma. I gotta go, I love you," I said.

"I love you too," and we hung up.

"Finally! Make me food!" Ben yelled and hopped onto the counter.

"Ben, grab a God damn bowl and make cereal or go next door," I said and grabbed the milk for him.

Ben's jaw dropped. "That's so fuckin' mean!"

I smirked.

Mowglie and Jess came home at about one later that day.

"Are you chill now?" Jess asked.

"Yes," I said and swallowed the last drop of my Mt. Dew.

"Good. What crawled up your ass?" Mowglie asked.

"Danny did. He pissed me off beyond belief," I muttered.

"I know. I hit him for you," Jess smiled.

"Good," I smirked.

We sat around all day and talked shit on everything. It was what we did when we were bored.

And its how we spent the night, into the morning.
