It was a chick flick, and I did mind. I wasn't ever going to tell you that though, because your arm snuck around me in the darkness of the cinema. The picture was flickering: Amanda was being dumped by her jerk of a boyfriend. I sighed softly out of compassion, and you whispered in my ear.
"I'd never dump you," your breath tickled my neck, and your arms tightened around me. Your reassurance made me feel like your teddy bear: worn and tired, but no less loved then in the beginning. You had just promised never to dump me, my heart was skipping in my chest and sashaying it's way into my throat. My day could not have been more perfect.
Amanda got together with her new man: I kissed you feverishly outside my house with my parents watching closely.
