The Life of a Teenager

A Little Peace of Mind

Who can classify themselves,
Stick a label on their wrists?
Who can summarize themselves?
Turn their life into a list

I could say that I am clever,
I could say that I am bright,
But that's only my opinion,
How would you know if I'm right?

Everyone's just so complex inside,
Within their secret minds.
I can't create a simple sentence
With all these thoughts of mine.

'Cause what it all comes down to
Is that I might simply not care.
There's no script written for my life,
But I know it leads somewhere.

You can just call me the child
Going out to see the world
You can really call my anything,
'Cause no one's understood.

Not many things are certain,
But a few things are for sure.
I know what I like and what I hate,
Just not what I live for.

I know a dog brings smiles,
And my family's always there.
I know that I love music,
And I hate this curly hair.

For now I think that that's enough
There's always more to find.
And out there is where I'll find it,
Just a little peace of mind.
