The Life of a Teenager

Why I’m Still a Little Girl

My body may have grown. My mind may have expanded. My tongue may be quicker. My knowledge may be broader. My feelings may have matured.

But deep down I’m still a little girl, and sometimes this shows.

I'm still a little girl because I like:

1) Splashing in a bubble bath
2) Licking out the ice-cream tub
3) Doodling on walls
4) Walking on the edge of walls and curbs in public
5) Playing with squishy things
6) Soaring as high as I can on a swing
7) Poking my tongue out to annoy people
8) Cutting the ends of my hair
9) Blowing bubbles in my drink
10) Getting brain freeze
11) Wearing colorful jelly bracelets
12) Playing in the sandbox
13) Painting my face
14) Wearing bright ,odd colored nail polish
15) Squealing when I see something cute
16) Playing dressups
17) Doing summersaults across mums bed
18) Being extremley stubborn
19) Watching cute animations eg.Horton Hears a Who, Planet 51
20) Fighting for silly things (with my sisters)

Those are all the reasons.

As I've grown up, people always said I looked and acted older than my age. They didn't see me. They saw what I showed them.
This list is all that makes me a little girl. I want to keep that little girl, its not right to let her go and grow up, and not be able to stop and smell the roses, or notice the stars.
The inner child in us is what makes the world wonderful, the ugly beautiful, and the sad happy. Its that still innocent piece of our originality.
