Coming Home

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
All so young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
So full of life.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
Ready to defend.
They fell with their faces to the foe.
Until the very end.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Forever young.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
Forever remembered.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
Our heroes,
We will remember them.
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

Lest we forget.

To all who are and have ever served the countries we all love. To all those who have laid down their lives for the millions living back home. For all those who have died to protect the land they love, this is for you.

I will remember you, I will honour you, I will never forget you.

Especially those brave men, those ANZACs of 1915.

This is for you.
