One Boy, One Girl

Mystery Visitor

“Who is it?” I asked my mother, looking at her confused.

“I don’t know, he just asked for you two,” my mom explained as she sat down at the table. Marshall and I looked at each other confused. We hesitated to move, in the back of my head I knew no one would come here for us; we don’t really talk to anyone else. And if it was someone we knew, they would tell my mom their name, but what’s even stranger, my mom didn’t ask for a name. “Well aren’t you going to go talk to him?” my mom asked.

“Uh what does he look like?” Marshall asked, he seemed… not scared, but unsure.

“He’s a bigger black boy, why?” she asked. I knew right away it was DeAngleo

“…. How about you tell him we left?!” Marshall suggested.

“But I already told him you told him you were here,” my mother said. Great, now what? I sat for a moment thinking on what to do, I didn’t want to talk to him cause I knew he’d just say shit to piss us off or try to hurt Marshall… again.

“Can you tell him something like … I don’t know just make something up, please?” I begged.

“Here, I got your back,” My mom smiled and walked back towards the door. I was confused as to what she’d say but I guess she’s got a good idea. Marshall let out a sigh, I said nothing, I just stared at him… Soon, my mom came back into the room. “He bought it,” she smiled.

“Bought what?” I questioned.

“I told him you guys fell asleep while watching a movie, and you’d talk to him tomorrow,” she smiled. I looked at Marshall confused, he looked at me confused, I just shrugged as my mom left the kitchen.

“Wow, that was odd,” I mumbled, I really didn’t want Marshall to hear me.

“... So, when are you going to tell them?” Marshall asked. “Your mom seems to really like me,” he said.

“I know, but I’m not worried about her. I’m worried about my dad,” I told him muttering the last part. Marshall let out a deep sigh. Gosh why does he have to do that, he makes me feel bad, I hate when he does that to me. Then he stared giving me lip. “Ok stop that. I will tell them in a few days,” I said. He smiled, it was one of the most cutest things ever.

“Ok,” he said and puckered his lips for a kiss. I smiled and shook my head before kissing him. We continued kissing for a while, it was nice but we had to stop before someone walked in and made it awkward.

“Marsh, we have to stop,” I said while kissing him. He pulled away, licking his lips, which was sexy. I couldn’t help but smile at his sexiness. He gave me a funny look, which I didn’t understand why at first, but then realized that maybe it’s because I kept staring at him, but I couldn’t help it.

“So… I guess we should go watch that movie,” Marshall suggested.

“Right,” I smiled as I got up from my seat and headed to the living room, Marshall followed me. We picked looked though the movies and finally made a decision and went with ‘The Fly’ some stupid horror movie that Marshall wanted to watch even though I told him it was stupid, and not scary whatsoever but whatever I guess.

Marshall followed me to my room. Right away he made himself comfortable on my bed by the wall. After I put the movie in I went and sat next to Marshall. I couldn’t stop staring at Marshall as the movie played. He didn’t seem to notice, he kept his eyes on that stupid movie. It was very irritating, and it gave me a good idea. I laughed at my idea in my head, trying not to laugh out loud.

I reached my hand over playing it on his shoulder yelling “Boo!” he jumped nearly a foot. I cracked up; it was the funniest thing ever.

“That was not funny!” Marshall shouted angrily. I couldn’t help but giggle; it was cute seeing him scared.

“Yeah it was,” I said to him in a baby voice. “It was cute too,” I smiled and cuddled up to him. Marshall sighed and pulled the covers over us.

~~~MARSHALLS POV~~~
Lily fell asleep in my arms, and it made me want to get her back, but I couldn’t she was just too cute. I cuddled with her myself. I lied there starring at her, the things I wish I could do ran though my head. I had to stop, but I couldn’t, Lily is just so beautiful. I had to tell myself that we haven’t dated long enough and we are too young for the thoughts I had in my head. I knew for a fact that if Lily agreed with it, I would have my ass kicked regardless. I closed my eyes and forced myself to sleep.
~~~BETH POV~~~

I didn’t hear anything from Lily’s room for a while. Which I thought was odd because usually those two are loud as hell. I glanced at the clock it was nearly nine at night. It crossed my mind that they may have fell asleep, which surprisingly I was ok with, but Dane, on the other hand, my not agree. I walked back to Lily’s room, sure enough, they were asleep.

~~~
As I walked back into the living room Dane sat down on the couch with a sigh. I sat down next to him; he put his arm around me. “The kids are sleeping,” I mumbled
“Oh,” he said, he seemed unsure.
“They’re fine, just let them sleep, I’ll call Marshall’s mother and let her know he’s here,” I told him before going into the kitchen and grabbing the phone.
“Alright…” Dane mumbled as I quickly came back.
“Don’t worry about them,” I said to my husband, who looked worried about it. “You know we were their age when we met, then we got pulled away from each other until we were 18. Do you really wanna do that to them?” I questioned.
“I know, but shes too young. Seeing this now from a dad’s point of view, I know how your dad was feeling,” Dane said to me.
“Yeah, I know, and I remember that I couldn’t stand not being around you,” I told him. Nick sighed as if he was annoyed; he took Mya and left the room.
“Yes, and remember, you got pregnant with Nick at 18,” Dane reminded me, again about something form my past. I let out a sigh.
“Yeah, but they are just friends,” I reminded him. He just rolled his eyes and looked back at the TV. I shook my head and dialed Marshall’s mom’s number.
“Hello?” she answered.
“Hey, uhh Miss. Mathers?” I asked.
“Yeah, who is this,” she asked. She sounded like she was fucked up.
“Miss. Jones, Lily’s mom,” I said.
“What do you want? And whatever Marshall did, I don’t care, I’m busy…” she said. What a terrible mother, not caring about her kid. It made me sick.
“Just thought I’d tell you he was staying here,” I said.
“Ok,” she said and hung up the phone.
~~~LILYS POV~~~
I woke up in Marshalls arms. I glanced at the clock it was about three in the morning. I decided to let Marshall sleep and not wake him so he doesn’t have to walk home in the dark, in Detroit… not a good thing. I had to pee so I carefully got up and went to the bathroom. I tripped as I went into the bathroom. “Stupid damn toys,” I mumbled to myself. Mya was always leaving shit around, and my mom fails at picking it up. I kicked the toys down the hall and closed the bathroom door.

~~~
I laid back down with Marshall. “Where am I?” Marshall whispered.
“My house,” I whispered while smiling at him. He looked as if he wasn’t supposed to be there. “No, its ok,” I told him as he began to get up. He lied back down…
“I gotta piss,” he mumbled getting up.
“You’re lucky Mom and Dad don’t care that he spends the night,” Nick mumbled.
“Shut up,” I yelled at him. Marshall came back in the room and we went back to sleep.
~~~

We were awoken to a knock on my window. “Who the fuck…?” Nick said getting mad.

“Probably just the wind,” I said. I knew it wasn’t the wind but I didn’t want to act scared. I moved closer to Marshall, he just held me tight, I felt safe. I attempted to go back to sleep but the knocking continued. “Nick do something,” I whined. Only calling him out because he was the oldest.

“Hey, why you callin on him?” Marshall whispered. “I’m supposed to protect you,” Marshall told me.

“Like you could fight,” Nick said.

“I was talking to Lily,” Marshall argued. I could see Nick shaking his head as he walked over to the window. He peeked out.

“I don’t see anything,” Nick whispered.

“I told you it was the wind,” I sighed in relief. Nick crawled back into his bed. And again we attempted to go back to sleep, but the knocking came back.

“That can’t the fucking wind,” Nick said irritated.

“I know you’re in there mothterfucker! Open the damn window!” A voice yelled. I nearly pissed myself I was so scared. I burred my face in Marshall’s chest.

“I’m scared,” I whispered. Marshall just continued to hold me tight as we tried to ignore the knocking, maybe he would leave us alone but it wouldn’t stop, and it seemed like forever. “Someone do something please,” I whined.

“Yeah, lets jump out the window, when the guy could be a killer!” Nick said.

“Open the fuckin window, I can hear you fuckers!” the man shouted. “Or I’ll open it my way!” he yelled. No one did anything about 30 seconds later the window slid open and a mad dressed in black, crawled in the window. He had a knife on him.

“Ahhhh!” I screamed and backed against the wall. We all stared at him as he took off his ski mask….
