We All Like the Irish Gentleman

“Daddy” You said
“Yes sweetie”
“When do I get to go back to the GHI team?” You asked
“We have a big case coming up we want you to join us on that then your free to go” Dad said
“Okay so where are we investigating” You asked
“Not saying” Dad smiled
“Meany” You pouted “Um Dad I know this is sort of last minutes but I need somewhere to stay”
“I’d let you stay at my place but I have no room, nor does G you’ll have to stay with one of the others” Dad said
“Walkie” You said

Dad hands over the walkie and you began to talk to the others.

“Okay so people I need somewhere to stay for a little while” You said “Anyone got room?”
“Sorry girly one bedroom apartment” Kris said
“Same here” Amy said
“The cats live in my spare room but I can hunt them out” Steve offered
“I have a spare room set up” Tango said
“I think I’ll stay with Tango sorry Steve allergic to cats” You said
“Understandable” Steve said

You arrived back at the TAPS office where you unpack the vans of the equipment and heading home or for you Tangos house. On the way to Tango’s he explained that he lived with his girlfriend in a small 2 bedroom house but at the moment she was off visiting her sister who had just had a baby. Upon reaching Tangos house he showed you the room where you would be staying until you could find a place of your own. No doubt the amount of money you would be earning soon would get you something half decent. You unpacked your stuff before grabbing your PJ’s and toothbrush. It was around 5 am you were only going to get maybe 3 hours if you were lucky. You walked out into the kitchen where Tango was talking on the phone.

“Tangelo bathroom” You said a little too loud
“Down the hall two doors to your left” Tango said

*Tangos P.O.V*

“Who was that?” My girlfriend practically yelled
“No one Jay’s daughter” I said
“What she doing saying with you”
“It’s Jay’s oldest daughter _______ she needs somewhere to stay before heading back to the GHI team” I said
“Jay doesn’t have a daughter by that name”
“He does now apparently she was taken from him shortly after she was born and his only just found her” I explained
“I’ll believe you this once”

*Your P.O.V*

You cleaned your teeth and went to bed. You were almost asleep when your phone rang.

“You’ve reached the phone of I-was-about-to-go-to-sleep how can I help you” You rubbed your eyes
“Sorry beautiful I was missing you” Barry’s Irish accent ran through your ears
“I miss you too” You smiled
“How long until you get back?” Barry asked
“I don’t know maybe 4 or 5 days maybe more I’d say within a week” You said
“Okay I can tell your tired so I’ll let you go just let me know when you’re planning to come back so I can tell you were we are” Barry said
“Okay I love you”
“I love you too” Barry said you could hear the smile in his voice

You hang up roll over and go to sleep. It’s seemed like you had only just gone to sleep when your alarm went off. You pulled yourself of bed and into the kitchen.

“Morning uh did you happen to catch what kind of bird made a nest in your hair” Tango laughed
“Coffee” You groaned
“Coming up”

Tango filled a mug up with coffee and you walked down the hall into your room. You grabbed a change of clothes and walked into the bathroom. You turned on the shower while dialling Barry’s number.

“Barry’s phone Robb speaking” Robb said
“Hay why do you have Barry’s phone” I asked
“His driving” Robb said
“Okay well I was hoping to talk to him but oh well” I said
“You may not be able to talk to him but I have Dustin here dying to talk to you or should I say I’m going to kill him of he doesn’t shut up about you” Robb groaned
“Put the stick on” You laughed
“Hay Sammy” Dustin said
“It’s Sam” You said
“Whatever how have you been?” Dustin asked
“Busy” You said
“Poor baby and you haven’t even begun” Dustin mocked
“What are you saying?” You asked
“Well you see on the international team you get home for maybe 3 weeks every year maybe more maybe less” Dustin said
“Holy shit” You said
“Hay it isn’t that bad” Dustin said
“Nah not that the water just burnt my ass” You said
“What are you doing for that to happen” Dustin laughed
“Trying to have a quick shower” You said
“OH GOD putting you on to Barry” Dustin yelled
“Hay Sweetie” Barry said
“Hi can you tell me the look on Dustin’s face at the moment” You asked
“He looks like his has a bad image in his head what did you do to him?” Barry asked
“Told him I was showering” You said
“Oh now there is something I would like to see” Barry flirted
“Maybe when I get back” You smirked
“So what do you have planned?” Barry asked
“I have an evidence view today and a doctors appointment” You said
“Well I hope all goes well I have to go we’re heading for an investigation” Barry said
“Aw do you have to go”
“I’m afraid so”
“Okay I love you stay safe” You said
“Love you too and I will if you will”
“Promise”

You said goodbye and hung up. You finished scrubbing yourself and got out of the shower. In 15 minutes you were dressed and had finished your coffee. You and Tango climbed in his car and drove to the office. You had your IPod out listening to music. When you walked in you headed straight for the evidence examination room. Before you had a chance to figure out where that was Steve walked up to you.

“I’m going to get breakfast you want anything” Steve asked
“I’ll go with you” You said

You walked out the door as a new song started on your IPod. You couldn’t help but start singing.

You stopped singing when you noticed Steve looking at you.

“What” You asked
“You’re a great singing” Steve said
“I’m not that good” You blushed
“No look you really are” Steve said
“You think so” You asked
“I’ll record you sometime” Steve smiled

You continued your little walk to the deli down the road where you got your breakfast before heading back into the office. As you walked through the door you could hear Dad yelling at Tango, you and Steve wonder into see what he was yelling about.

“WHY THE HELL DID YOU LET THEM GO” Dad yelled
“Let who go” You asked
“There you are” Dad said
“Yeah we went to get breakfast” You said
“You have evidence to get through and I have bills to pay not time for breakfast” Dad barked
“Okay fine we’ll get to work don’t get your panty’s in a knot” You grumbled walking off

You, Steve and Tango walked into the room where you would be going over the evidence. Steve looked at the amount of things we had to go over.

“Okay so Tango you can take the handhelds, ______ you can take half the audio recorders and the thermal, I’ll take the DVs and the other half of the audio recorders” Steve said
“Okay let’s get going” You said

SyFy was set up and recording while you and the guys sat about watching screens and listening to audio. Thank god for you and Steve you could do two things at once unlike Tango who had to watch every camera and listen to the audio for one item. About 5 hours later you had finished 2 audio recorders and the thermal. The audio turned up a few interesting things well you thought it had until you all figured out the breathy sighs youse where hearing was in fact Grant’s sighs of boredom. You didn’t look dumb as when the group had first started Jason had fallen asleep near the wireless audio and was snoring everyone thought that it was something yelling at the recorder until they finally got to the part where G came in and said Jay are you still alive before realising what they were listening to. On the thermal you had 3 clips each of which were shocking in their own right You, Steve and Tango decided to stop for a break, after finding Dad and stealing his keys you went for a bit of a drive to find some food. You returned 30 minutes later with McDonalds which happened to be the closest take away that wasn’t a small shop you could find.

You walked into the office and began handing out the food when Jay and Grant pulled you into their office. You weren’t alone in the office there was another guy and girl there you had never seen before. Dad and G walked in a few minutes later.

“Okay so ______ meet Scott Tepperman and Susan Slaughter” Dad said
“Nice to meet you” You said holding out your hand
“Nice to meet you too” Scott shook your hand “Ah engaged I see”
“Yes I got engaged a little over a week ago” You said looking at your ring
“Lucky girl” Susan said
“Now ________ you will be travelling back over with Scott and Susan they are going to be joining the GHI team” Dad said
“What’s that like 10 members don’t you think the team is getting a little big” You said
“Well that’s just it you see Robb, Dustin, Ashley and Brandy are leaving” G said
“That leave us with 6” You said
“Um 7 actually we’re sending Kris as well” Jay said
“But then theres only 5 of your here” You said
“Don’t worry we planned it out” Jay said “Do you remember Britt Griffith?”
“A little yes” You said
“His going to be working with us and so it a friend of ours KJ McCormick” G said
“So it will be 7 aside” You said
“Yeah” G smiled
“Okay well if you don’t mind I have evidence to review” You stood up
“Just quickly are you Irish?” Scott asked
“No I was over there recently and my fience is Irish so I’ve pick up the accent” You said “And you Scott your from Queens”
“Spot on”

You left the room with yours, Steve’s and Tango’s lunch. You walked back into the review corner where Steve and Tango were arguing over which body part had the most meat.

“I don’t want to know why you guys are talking about that but here eat” You said
“FOOD” Both boys yelled at once

You all tucked into your lunch while watching the evidence or for you listening too. By the time to go home had come around it was 10 pm you had finished with your audio hours ago but couldn’t go until Tango was finished. The evidence was all done and ready to show to Jay and G in the morning. You left with Tango and to get a goodnight’s sleep before a big day tomorrow.
