Emery Woods is the daughter of a popular diner owner, her father Marcus Woods. Her mother walked out on her when she was five years old leaving her and her father to form an extremely close bond.

She's the shy girl with a good support system at home. She's never gotten less than a B in any class at school. She's never broken curfew or tried any drug. And basically she's invisible to everyone in La Push.

Paul Parker is the son of a single mother who works at the hospital in Forks. He is part of the La Push pack and neither of them see each other much. They used to be a tight family until Paul's father left them for some hooker from Port Angeles. He's constantly trying to fill the void his father left with the countless women he sleeps with.

He's never had family support. He barely passes his classes. He doesn't come home sometimes and there isn't a girl in the reservation school who doesn't want a piece of him. He always has to be the center of attention.

And basically, their opposites. So what happens when Paul looks right into her baby blue eyes?
