Status: On going...

He's attractive, arrogant and invincible. Well, for now.

Detours.

Well we can completely screw ‘perfection’.
What was Adam expecting?
That his plans would actually work?
And that everyone would go along with it?
Wrong!
Wrong, completely and utterly wrong.

For one, any conversations he had tried to stir up on the bus ride were either interrupted by the two fools arguing behind them on the bus, or were answered with one word... one word!
For example;
“So where do you live?”
“Somewhere?”
“Do you like school?”
“Sometimes...”
“Have you got any friends?”
“Maybe...?”

See...
Do you freaking see what he means!?
There was a limit to people’s personal space.
And clearly Ever had WAY too much off it.
Either that or she was answering seriously...
Which is a most likely situation.

He knew it.
He knew it very well.
Adam knew that it was going to take a while to get into her.
Under skin.
In her hair.
Decipher her code.
But then again, Adam was the short-tempered and impatient type.
This ‘plan’ of his wasn’t going to run smoothly.

“You know... I’ve never tasted ice cream.” She whispered.
Silence...
Now for the first time in... well, it was the first time?
It was a silence not awkward or thick or heavy.
It was a sweet silence, a silence which caused the last words to be spoken to echo.
Which then lead Adam to freeze, Carl to freeze and Arial to freeze.
How cute!?

“S-Serious!?” Carl and Ariel exclaimed viciously, stopping whatever argument they were having midway.
They seem to be in synch lately.
A blush threatened to creep upon Ever’s face, which she so desperately tried to hide by covering her it with her big, loops of hair, “Y-yes...”

Jesus, how freaking cute can she get? Adam groaned to himself, as he held his head in his hands trembling.
Controlling himself.
Before doing something he would regret.
‘Regret?’

“Hahahaha!” Carl couldn’t help but scoff the laughter out. “Miss curly hasn’t tasted ice cream... how original!” Well, he’s officially lost it.
“Well... John’s has the best ice-cream in the area. I am sure you will like it.” Ariel smiled.
Showing, for the first time, her sweet side.
She had a sweet side?
“Oi, Adam stop drooling... your bait mate... OH! I just rhymed.” Oh, how much Adam wanted to shove that head of his down a toilet.
“Ever don’t mind Adam, he’s just a pervert.” Ariel joined in.
Can they get any worse!?

Although to Adams luck, it had seemed that Ever wasn’t listening.
Wasn’t paying any attention at all...
Wait!
She was meant to be paying attention to him!
It’s okay Adam cool yourself, he breathed in and out heavily.

“So Ever...” he called out, and waited until she turn her head around, “I was wandering-” he was cut off by Carl.
“Sorry bubs, we got’ta get off now.” He sniggered.
Perfect timing as always!

They walked down St Olmands street; with Ariel reluctantly linking with Carl as they lead the way to ‘John’s Ice Cream’. They had decided to show mercy to their ‘beloved friend’ and let Adam and Ever have some peace.
Which Adam knew wasn’t going to last.

“So Ever, I was wandering why you were moved to our side of the year?”
Be cool.
Act cool.
You are cool!?
“Is there a problem?”
Well, we’re improving from one word answers.
“Of course not, actually I am really happy.” He inched closer to her.
This should make her heart thump.
“I was just curious.”
“No reason.”
Dammit!
Lost her!

Ariel decided to take a detour just for the hell of it.
Deciding to go through ‘Blackberry Park’.
What a coincidence.

“H-Hey Ever.” Adam stopped in his tracks. An idea had summed up in his head; he was going to get his dignity back. “Do you remember this park?”
Ever took one serious look at the park and shook her head.
“Are you sure?” He was desperate.
Ariel and Carl stood there watching in awe.
She shook her head again.
“Aw... come on. Come here, I’ll show you.” He was being desperate and therefore he took her to the bush where she had hid behind. It wasn’t hard to find, it was the biggest one in the park.
Something ached inside Ever’s head.
“How about now?”
“Stop...” She whispered.
“Remember? You were wearing jeans, and flowy top? I think? Well I think you look good...” As Adam faked a smile and hid his nervousness, something began to hit at the back of Ever’s mind.

Memories.
Painful memories.
Sacred memories.
“Stop... stop...” She repeated under her breath.
Ariel had noticed her discomfort but Carl refused to let anyone get involved.
“I chased you and you hid behind here...” He continued to rant and rant and rant.
Only to unknowingly cause the headache, the pain inside Ever.
She grabbed her head, repeating ‘stop’ over and over.
Getting louder and louder.

Only causing the fury and anger to tremble inside of Adam as he couldn’t tolerate her anymore.
It wasn’t that dark!
As well as it was only a couple of days ago?
How could she forget?
Why would she forget!?

“Please stop...” She whimpered. Causing Adam to feel a guilt he didn’t want to feel.
And once again he blew, “What the fuck is your problem? You attention seeking bitch!”
Oh... how he regretted those words.
The second, the second he said them, spilled the, screamed them, was the second he wished he could choke them back.
He watched as she trembled slightly, she was obviously in some sort of pain that Adamm refused to acknowledge, he grew jealous as Carl and Ariel surrounded her, asking her what was wrong and tried to comfort her.

And she ran.
Whatever chance she took, she used it well.
And ran.
She was scared.
Of what?
She didn’t understand herself either.
He had done nothing wrong.
Then again it wasn’t his fault, she always forgets him.
