Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend

Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend Chapter 20

I felt like a zoombie.
I’m only running on two hours of sleep and coffee.
As I walked to my next class, with a large coffee in my hand, I saw Matt.
He grinned and walked over to me. “You look tired. How much sleep did you get?”
“I don’t know, two? I did an all nighter,”
“I’m sorry,”
“It’s fine, I have another big night tonight,”
“You want me there to help you?” he asked.
“Sure,” I yawned.
Matt wrapped his arm around me and we walked to my class together.
He kissed my cheek and left.
I walked in side and talked to my teacher.
I didn’t miss much in this class thank goodness.
The hour passed by quickly and I went back to the dorm to take an hour nap.
*****
After my nap I felt like myself again.
I got dressed and joined the guys down stairs to get lunch.
“Hey,” I smiled.
“She’s back,” Max said smiling.
“I am,” I said sitting next to her.
Matt smiled at me from across the table.
I grinned back and stool Max’s sandwich and Jerry’s soda.
“Thanks,” I said as they stared to me in shock.
“I’ll go get her something,” Matt said.
We laughed as he left.
Max took back her sandwich and Jerry grabbed my soda.
“Hey, Vince,”
“No,” he said eating his chips.
I glared at him until Matt handed me a soda and a sandwich. “Thank you,”
“No problem,”
“How were classes today?” Lynn asked.
“Okay, I didn’t miss too much, but I still have a lot to do. Another all nighter,”
“Aw,” the girls said.
“I know, I cant stay long. I’ll be back for dinner,”
“You best be here,” Alex said.
I smiled. “I will,”
“After all this we’re going clubbing,” Ryan said.
“Deal,” the guys said.
The girls cheered and I smiled.
“I got to jet,” I said standing up.
“Later,” Matt said wrapping his arm around me.
“If he’s back, alone, then you know he was distracting me,”
Matt wiggled his eyebrows as I pushed him away from me.
“Protection!” the boys yelled after us.
I laughed and looked at him.
I noticed Max looking at little sad.
I need to talk to her.
Something’s up.
Matt and I interlocked our fingers and walked to my dorm.
We sat in the living room with all of our things and started to work.
After an hour or so I was really into my work.
I felt Matt’s eyes on me and I smiled. “Do your work,”
“Sorry,” he muttered and started to type on his computer.
Moments later he got up again to get a Red Bull from the fridge.
He walked over to me and began to rub my shoulders.
“You’re so tense. Chill,”
“I know,” I said cracking my neck.
He chuckled and kissed my neck.
“You’re distracting me,”
“Yeah,” he muttered.
I gave into him and kissed him.

Max’s Point Of View

The guys were joking around and all I could think about it Matt and Violet.
It’s Matt’s fault for me liking him. He was hanging out with me a lot before he got together with Vi.
I sighed again and the guys looked over at me.
Lynn patted my shoulder.
“What’s up, Maxie?” Vince asked.
“Nothing,”
“Liar,” Jerry said.
I sighed. “I think I love Matt,”
“Whoa,” “What?” “How?” were said as I nodded my head slightly.
“I liked him for a while, but now I don’t know,”
“That sucks considering he loves Vi,” Alex said.
“I know,” I sighed.
“Stop sighing,” Ryan said. Maya gave him a look and he kissed her.
“Hey people!” Matt said with a goofy smile on his face.
I shook my head.
“She kicked you out?” Ryan laughed.
“Nah, I got hungry,”
“Nice lipstick,” Danni said giggling.
“Sex hair,” Ryan coughed.
Matt glared at then and fixed his hair and tried to remove the make up.
I stood up and walked over to the vending machine.
“Hey,” Matt said smiling.
“Hi,” I said trying to avoid eye contact.
“What’s up? We haven’t hung out in a while, just us you know?”
“Yeah. Um, nothing really,” I said.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
I nodded my head.
“Good, if you need to talk I’m here,” he said taking my hand.
I blushed. “Thanks,” I said walking away, empty handed.
“Later guys,” Matt said walking away. “Oh, Max, here,” he said throwing me a bag of trail mix.
I smiled and opened it.
“Aw,” Danni said.
“Shut up,” I muttered.

Violet’s Point Of View

After Matt left I deicide to call Mrs. Thomas.
Yesterday was her chemotherapy.
“Hello?” she answered.
“Hey,” I smiled.
“Violet, how are you?”
“Good, you?”
“I’m good,”
“How are you really?”
“I’m hanging in there really. The doctors told me that I could fight it, because they found it early,”
I started to tear up a little. “Okay, please hang in there,”
“I will, I’m not going anywhere,”
“Good,” I said as the tears flood down.
“No, Violet, this is a lot for Josh. I need you to be strong for him and for me. I know he still cares about you and you him, so please stop crying and be strong for us,”
I chuckled. “I’ll try. Is he there?”’
“He went back to school,”
“Thanks,” I said.
“Call him,” she said.
“I will,” I said.
“Good bye,” we said and I called Josh.
“Hello?” he said after the third ring.
“Hey,” I said.
“You talked to my mom,”
“Yeah,”
“I didn’t get a chance to talk to her,”
“She’s fine,” I said cutting him off.
“Thanks God,” he sighed.
“I didn’t get any details through. She wants us to not worry do much and be strong,” I said crying.
“I know. Easier said than done,”
“I know,” I said.
“We’ll get through, all of us,”
“I know, its just, not your mom, you know,”
“Yeah, she’s my mom after all,”
We chuckled. “How’s school?” he asked.
“Good, yours?”
“Good. Matt?”
“Great,” I said tearing up again.
“Good, I’m glad,”
“Sometimes I wonder why you’re not fighting for me.”
There was silence for a while.
“I did, but I lost. I’ll let Matt be happy for a while. But I’ll tell you this, you will always be my girl and my first love,”
I smiled. “I got to go, work,”
“Same, how many all nighters have you had?” he asked.
“One,”
“Lucky!” he said.
We laughed and hung up.
I went to the bathroom and cleaned up.
“Ello lovely,” Matt said walking in the room.
“Hey,” I said hugging him.
He hugged me back. “Work,” he whispered to me.
I rolled my eyes and sat back down.
