Dear Charlie,
Your friend Aly wrote to me explaining how she wasn’t a stalker. Kennedy knows her from high school, so I’m assuming she’s not a psychopath. I read your letter, like I read all my other ones that I receive, but yours, yours stuck out to me. It was different from all the others. Most of the letters I get are just begging and pleading for me to write back or come to their graduation or play at their high school or even let them back stage to hang out with us, but yours didn’t.
That’s why I’m writing back. I’m interested in what you have to say. I want to know your views on the world and how things have changed back home. I miss it in Arizona when we’re on the road.
If you promise to keep this between you and me, I will write back as long as you do.
