Do Opposites Really Attract?

GO TO SCHOOL!

Zeke's POV

"Get a move on you two, you're going to be late" Yelled Mum from downstairs. I faintly heard her mutter something else under her breath... it sounded like again.
"I'm coming!" replied Zach, at an equally load volume. My twin brother has never had a volume control switch - a shame really.
"Don't worry Mum. We'll be down in a minute." I echoed gently to sooth her.
Since Dad left, all Zach's given her has been grief. He always was a Daddy's boy. When we finally met the woman who destroyed our family, Dad told Zach there was no room for us in his life any more. We haven't seen either of them since. Zach's been devastated. I've just tried to keep a cool head, and concentrate on my studies. I'll be doing my AS levels next year, I need to do really well if I'm going to get into Cambridge. Its been my dream all my life.
"Come on boys, I really have to go to work now, and there's now way I'm going to leave you here alone. Not after last time. Downstairs now, or you'll miss your lift."
"I'm here Mum. Don't worry."
"It's not you I'm worried about Zeke, its your brother. He really hasn't been the same since...." Her voice faded gently into the background.
"I know Mum. I know."
"Anything special happening to my son today?" She muttered, trying to subtly change the subject.
"Um, yeah, Mr Jones wants me to show some new kids around."
"How wonderful! I hope it goes well. You'll have to tell me all about it alter on.... If Zach doesn't come down in a minute, I might just break down in tears."

Zach's POV

I hate my sissy of a brother. If he comes up here, I swear, I won't be responsible for any actions I take. Oh no, here he comes.
"Are you coming or what?" Why does he always patronise me when he speaks?
"I'm coming, OK?"
"OK. Lets go then."
I pushed past him as I sprinted down the rickety old staircase. Dad would never have let this happen. Dad would have made sure little Zekey boy never walked again.
But Dad's not here.
I ran straight to the car, and Zeke got in along side me. We drove.
After about five miles, we finally reached the old weathered building that was hell. I stepped through the gates and anticipated the next six hours with dread beyond all dread.
Lets go.
Let the learning begin.
