Dead or What?

Day minus 36

Beep, beep, beep, beeeee-
I slammed the snooze button on my alarm clock, got up, and got dressed.
Gee was waiting for me in the studio.
He turned around, his messy black hair flipping all over the place.
He smiled and gave me a kiss.

"Hey, do you want to meet Dean today?" Gerard asked.
"Sure, let me get my... oh, right.
We don't have to use money." I said.

Gee laughed. I love his laugh.
He led me to a nearby taxi and we drove off to Dean's studio downtown.
I got out, thankfully forgetting to pay the driver.

"Well... here we are." Gerard said.
I turned to the big, black house that was Dean's studio.
We walked inside and a man with messy, dark brown hair came in and smiled at us.

"Hey Gerard! Hey Sarah!" The man said.

Gee held out his hand and said,
"Hey man."

"Nothing better to do uh?"
He laughed a little and then shook my hand.

He took us to his big studio in the back.
"Wow, this is... big."
I said, and it was.

He laughed and nodded.
"I've always loved to work in large spaces."

We got to know Dean.

"Well, my parents didn't have much money, so they kicked me out.
I got shot because I tryed to get... steal some food from a nearby market.
I've been here for a while now." Dean looked down at his feet.

"Wow, that's so sad."
I gave him a hug that he happily accepted.
Gerard raised his right eyebrow.

"Do you want to know my story?"
He said, eagerly.
I smiled and looked at him.

"Sure," I said.

"Okay, so I took an overdose of drugs.
Simple much?" Gerard smirked when he said this.

"Shit, that's sad.
Depression?"
I asked.

"Life."
Life? So he was sad about a lot. Poor guy.

I put my head on his shoulder,
"I'm sorry."

Dean looked up at us.
"I've got to meet someone in the cemetery.
You guys should leave, no offense."

"None taken, bye!"
I hugged Dean and we left.
